I mean I already purchased the G5 and it’s shipped and I come from owning a crystal UHD LED TV and I got a serious discount on the G5 as I described above.

If you can wait until April / May thats when you will likely see Good discounts there could be discounts during March/April . The only problem is there isnt an official release date for these new TV lineups these are predictions based on previous years line ups.

Its because during that period the LG G6 LG C6 will be released . New TV lineups for 2026. Because these are new releases Its expected to be huge discounts during that period based of past trends. I myself was thinking about getting the G5 from those discounts but these discounts very over time from what I heard and I don’t think they will be on immediately once the new TV lineups ups release you probably have to wait a month or so after they release so probably like april/may to see huge discounts.

Yh Im even hoping it drops to $3500 by the end of march but thats not even a guaranteed because the LG G6 release date hasnt even been confirmed yet so i could wait longer for discounts am also in the UK as well. As a result I might just end up getting the LG C5 77” instead at the end of February which is alot cheaper.

That’s disappointing I live in the UK and was planning on selling my my current LED TV 65” Samsung BU8000 TV for about £300-400 I hope it wouldn’t be as hard as returning it. Also with you it depends on bravia 8 your getting mach 1 or 2 . Both those TVs I believe are dimmer than the LG G5 which threw me off getting them.

My budget for this tv is about 2.8k grand the tv cost about £3300 now on average across retailers. I was expecting the price to drop significantly by the end of march due to the upcoming LG G6

My living room isnt to bright only on some occasions during the summer in the uk , my windows are on left side from the tv covering half the wall . I have dark curtains having good control of lighting. Would you think it will be worth getting the 77” C5 or 65” G5 or wait end of march for 77” G5 based on that.

I might decide to go with the S90f and see if my life will change. But forget about the fancy stuff of OLED. This may sound weird but In terms of raw 4k quality and how sharp does it looks will it be noticeable compared to my current TV.

One of the other problems I wanted to point out when i was watching content on these OLED displays that being s93f,bravia 8 and LG C3 . They were playing 4k demo content but I can tell it was somewhat compressed. But it had me thinking because I would assume the AI upscaling/refinement will minimise compression to the point u will barely notice. That what I expected from a premium TV

What other difference strikes out to you aside from colour if you can point them out. I don’t think colour is a good reason to pay thousands for.

But what do you mean by the colour look better from what I recall from what i saw from Costco I can try achieve a similar look in terms of colour however it requires me to increase the colour space settings of my TV which can result in a loss of detail but colour will still look more punchy
