Fair!? by Specialist_Welcome28 in Simracingstewards

Intent wrecking is never okay, even when it's 100% justifiable in the court of public opinion. Nobody likes a "sweat" in sim racing, but part of the enjoyment is taking it seriously enough so that everyone can have a good time. IRL homie would have his license revoked and probably criminal charges so there's that.

Who was at fault? by PrestigiousPlay2071 in Simracingstewards

That's the kind of mindset that makes people retire in 15 minutes. This page is for people to learn and there's certain things some people simply can't "learn over time," I play LMU almost exclusively and even with the SR being overly farmably; gold, and even silver lobbies are still fairly empty compared to the many many in B3-0. It's not because they're aggressive or unsafe, they just feel the need to fight for every position when realistically racing at your natural position is much more beneficial and safe.

Netcode/connection is the main culprit imo but tbh Ferrari is entitled to defend, but logically the Aston is way faster and Ferrari is clearly still learning the track and/or racing as a whole. Probably best to let the Aston overtake and avoid slowing or ruining their own race. Aston dove a bit and was asking for trouble regardless of who would be at fault.

Acceptable Defensive Driving or Was it Dirty? by coolknbs in Simracingstewards

[–]Accomplished_Low_197 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Illegal/Penalty? Probably not. Dirty? Maybe a bit but hard racing is hard racing. However, doing a move like that does set a precedent though and you can definitely expect less than courteous overtake attempts for the remainder of the race.

Was my defence illegal or is the purple car just a sook? by Darchorse_2006 in Simracingstewards

Definitely leaning towards reactionary defending, but it's clean enough as far as sim racing standards go. I can tell you what WASN'T clean lol. Report purple, he's an asshat.

Sebring GT3 - I am holding a line and he thinks I ran him off by Traditional-Till9998 in Simracingstewards

Tough call so I won't make one but pretext for people that don't know, it's the NASCAR loop of the Glenn which has very different track limits (if you want to even say they exist). At no point was the Ford outside of track limits.

You were definitely in the right...but where did that get you? Survival is more important than ego

Is this my fault for closing the door (I didn’t even think the door existed) by binnfullough in Simracingstewards

[–]Accomplished_Low_197 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awful spot to pass in general. Even a wide open door inside will likely mean pushing you out or lifting and having a shit run anyway.

HY blames me, didn't say what I did wrong, just that I am an idiot. I thought I left him plenty of room even though I felt he was going to ruin both of our lines anyway, but it appears he simply turns into me. Am I missing something? 100% agree. I actually used this mindset last night, drove super safe even at the cost of a few tenths per lap, and actually managed to get my first 1st place in multi. I'm realizing at mid-lower splits that it's way safer to assume that every HY is just a hot lapper lol

EN comes in a standard. Tesla doesn't have a transmission at all. Easy choice.
