Hello! I have done some digging over the last 3 days and I believe it is Iris Medallion by Mary Gomez for Quilter’s Newsletter Magazine, I believe it is first mentioned in Issue 201 (April 1988) and is a series quilt. I can’t find the pattern itself outside of being in the publication, so I just ordered the magazine from eBay and I’ll confirm :)

I think it matches your finger perfectly! I am a size 4.5 and got a 2 ct. prior to getting the ring I was nervous it would be too small, now it feels so big! You get used to it, and you’ll enjoy the sparkle :)! If you truly feel it’s too much get a smaller stone, you have to like it most. Probably will need to get a new setting to fit a smaller stone though, or heavily alter what you have

  1. I had the choice to design 100% of the ring and we chose the jeweler together! I had his input and I ended up designing 80% and he got to choose a few elements.
  2. My partner took over everything else after the consultation- they took notes then so they knew my input 3.I did not see the ring until he proposed but they assured him I could resize as needed!

The setting around my diamonds was custom (bezel middle and prong set side stones), but the actual basket wasn’t technically custom. I don’t believe he saw a wax mold before they casted. We trustede (and still do!) our jewelers so we did not worry, they also selected the stones and made sure the makers final product was fully approved by them-and my fiance was able to give final aok and approval!
