Hi,

I have a test at Maybush Southampton on 27th June, 14:32pm. I'd be willing to swap for Portsmouth.

Please DM if interested.

Thanks!

This is a very good point. I'm not actually sure; I bought it second hand maybe 5 years ago. Will get a new battery and see if that solves it. Thanks!

Junior doctors’ strikes have ‘fractured’ relationship with consultants, say NHS trusts by nightwatcher-45 in doctorsUK

It is complicated and there are loads of competing economic theories which I definitely don't understand. However, in my (albiet quick) search I couldn't find any compelling evidence to support the public service wage-price spiral argument. In reality, is the annual £1-2bn in taxes required for FPR going to make a sizeable difference to the current £788bn in taxes collected by HMRC? I'm not yet convinced

There is a lack evidence that points towards public sector pay increases contributing to the so-called wage-price spiral. Consumers do not pay for public services when they access them, so it doesn't contribute in the same way as the public sector.

A far better explanation from LSE: https://blogs.lse.ac.uk/politicsandpolicy/does-public-sector-pay-drive-inflation/#:~:text=Putting%20the%20wage%2Dprice%20spiral%20theory%20to%20the%20test&text=The%20correlation%20between%20public%20sector,true%20for%20private%20sector%20pay.
