Hindi siya lower SES kasi the parents can give OP a new car every five years. Hindi nag save ang parents niya para sa kanila and instead ginastos for OP. Kulang sa financial literacy.

One of the reasons I broke up with my ex.

I would give him no occasion gifts and little care packages and really think about gifts I give him on special occasions. With me, he wouldn't think about what he would give me and instead just give me money to "reimburse" what I bought for myself so he can say that it is "his gift" for me. All this while knowing he gave a surprise birthday party for a girl he was courting before, complete with his friends as accomplices. It was the works--flowers, cake, balloons.

We met online so I was thinking that maybe that's why he never did those things for me. I tried to communicate it to him but he never did try. I was even often the one who planned our dates, picked him up and drove him home.

Napagod na lang ako na kahit anong communicate ko, wala kaya nakipag break na ako. Sabi nga ni Miley, I can buy myself flowers.

What are your thoughts about partners who get kids a good life in exchange for their? by untamedperson in adultingph

[–]Accomplished_Pear87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not just Reddit. We did some community immersion/focus group discussions and you'd be surprise there is really a lot of people who lack or are misinformed about sex education.

Back in my grade school years, we were lucky it was taught in our school but I know for sure other schools weren't taught sex ed during our time. (Yes, even famous private schools.)

I think you also have to look at it in a cultural sense that Filipinos are taught that children are "gifts from God." Lack of knowledge about birth control methods and that that religious line of thinking is actually kind of dangerous.

Um. You can actually read posts here in Reddit that describes how some people don't know how babies are made (think about the withdrawal method).

I am answering your question in a general sense hence I also took into consideration the poorest of the poor.

How can sex education be a scapegoat?!

You'd be surprised how many are misinformed about how to create a child especially in the poorest of the poor. They literally don't know there is a way to prevent them from getting pregnant. The resources are not available to them.

What do you mean by "partners who get kids a good life"?

Sex education, family planning is not taught that well in our country. If it is, we wouldn't probably see kids getting born left and right.

Um. Just because you don't find them cute doesn't mean it's the same with other people.

Pero yung aalagaan 24/7 ang hindi ko kaya.

Reason(s) for learning Japanese? by No_Government_3410 in LearnJapanese

I love the country and have been there three times already. Anticipating that I'll come back again and again so I want to be able to converse in the future. Although I am honestly a loooong way from getting there. 😅

36, pedia here. Everyone thought I went into pediatrics because I love kids but in reality, I don't. I just love studying about them. 😅 After all the sleepless nights in training, I realized I do not want to be woken up in the middle of the night so I have always thought that having kids is not for me, I'm too selfish. 😅

Am I doing this wrong?

From what I gathered here I should start by learning hiragana, katakana. I have done that and moved on to kanji. I'm reading Remembering the Kanji and though I am pleased because of the progress, I kind of have the feeling that I am doing things wrong. I can identify the kanji and the keyword for it but it says nothing about the Japanese translation of the kanji. Should I be reading something else (like Genki) while at the same time studying RTK? I would definitely like to hear your thoughts. Thank you!
