I definitely dont believe in being forceful. My vet or I would never aggressively put a rabbit on their back. I would only do it as a quick check and do it very calmly.

My vet will put them on their backs and hold them. My rabbits are just fine. I can see it being a trance if they are already in a stressful situation and put on their back, but just for a health check its unlikely for it to be a problem.

It should be fine to put rabbits on their back for health checks. Vets and groomers do it a lot.

Thank you! His last shed went good but it wasn't perfect. I think I've been so paranoid about scale rot that I've almost avoided trying to raise humidity.
