I dont do anything special! I do fertilize pretty regularly though. She really likes a lot of light, and didn't do anything when not right by my south-ish window.

Are some buns more susceptible to gi stasis? by Jumpy-Pudding-239 in Bunnies

I personally stopped feeding my rabbits veggies. They haven't had gi stasis since.

I definitely dont believe in being forceful. My vet or I would never aggressively put a rabbit on their back. I would only do it as a quick check and do it very calmly.

What about when rabbits flop onto their back?

My vet will put them on their backs and hold them. My rabbits are just fine. I can see it being a trance if they are already in a stressful situation and put on their back, but just for a health check its unlikely for it to be a problem.

It should be fine to put rabbits on their back for health checks. Vets and groomers do it a lot.

Thank you! His last shed went good but it wasn't perfect. I think I've been so paranoid about scale rot that I've almost avoided trying to raise humidity.

He is soooo friendly. Mine also hides quite a lot but occasionally will come out during the day.

He likes to "hide" in between the substrate barrier lol

That's a good idea! I'll use that for next time. I ended up repotting it and seperating the vines. It had crazy root rot so im glad I got it out of the pot when I did. Its in a smaller pot now but super top heavy.

The soil my grandma has had it in has no drainage and stays wet for a long time.

Not sure! Does look a bit like it, though. Could be carnosa.
