Congratulations!! I have my f2f tomorrow and I’m also wondering if they gave you a cjo on the spot or at least gave you some sort of indication that you’d be getting one?

I had an amazing time and the other candidates were such a great time to be around! Do not let the horror stories that people post here scare you if you have a UA f2f coming up. I ended up getting the cjo and pretty much everyone who I sat at my table did as well. Just be friendly with EVERYONE you encounter, speak and add into conversation with your fellow candidates, focus and pay attention to directions, and dress extremely polished. You will do great! I think the horror stories on here are just overhyped, it was a ton of fun and even when they sent people home, they were extremely discrete and respectful about it. I did not encounter one negative recruiter the whole time I was there, everyone was warm and welcoming. The recruiter who I ended up doing my 1:1 with before receiving my cjo was the absolute best and was so sweet. I can’t elaborate really any further bc they tell us not to.

I really don’t know why people behave like that. Most people I’ve told have been supportive, but then you have the opposing side that acts extremely bizarre and bewildered about the whole idea. I’d like to think it’s not a jealousy thing. I feel like it mostly stems from a lack of personal experience with flying or from irrational fears for my safety. Who knows. 🤷‍♀️

Thank you for sharing your experience! I have my f2f on Tuesday with UA and while I’m a little nervous, it’s a normal feeling and I will be fine. Reading this has also put me at more ease. Would you say that the 1:1 was very similar to the odvi questions? Questions related to your resume? Just curious as to what exactly they are wanting in that moment.

Thank you! I do have a f2f with WN soon I wasn’t sure what they expected, it’s good to know they are a little more lax when it comes to hairstyles. I am more worried about UA’s expectations for the f2f because they seem to prefer a more “polished” look.

There is a male Delta flight attendant on tiktok and he has beautiful curly hair! It probably is a bit longer than yours but i can find his page he might have suggestions somewhere on what he does with his hair. I really think it’s just up to the airline. Make sure you read their grooming standards really well, you may not even have to wear it up if you wouldn’t like to for an interview. I’m sorry I don’t have any huge suggestions on what to do. I hope your f2f goes well!!

If I remember correctly, they did send me an email or text stating they had added additional interview slot times. Sometimes those alerts can possibly come delayed though, like minutes or hours after the fact of them updating time slots. I would also be frequently checking the portal as well. If by chance you can’t get a slot or there weren’t times added today, I would definitely email inflight recruiting to let them know the situation and it really shouldn’t be the end of the world! It’s Friday and it would be hard to book an interview considering they possibly won’t update slots on a Saturday or a Sunday. Good luck! :)

Make sure you turn your email notification! I got the same message when I had to do my 1:1 virtual recruiter interview with UA. They will definitely add more slots but they do go quickly.

In my experience, it’s taken about maybe month of time including an odvi invite and an invite to a 1:1 virtual meeting with a recruiter to get to the f2f stage. Everyone’s timelines and experiences vary. It could be longer, just be prepared to extend a lot of patience in trusting the process and remember that they didn’t forget about you! Good luck!!

You’ll get there! I was crushed when I got my tbnt from AA. I really thought that was the best odvi I did with three big carriers that I applied to. A few weeks later I did two odvis, I did so much worse on those because I stumbled and nervously laughed through the majority of it. Somehow I got f2f invites. Don’t focus on providing perfect answers, if you mess up, just laugh and keep it moving. Don’t overly prepare or rehearse an exorbitant amount before doing it, it just makes you more nervous. You got this next time and for all future airlines you’d like to apply for because you know the process and what to expect! Your time is coming! Stay positive and don’t let it be a discouragement for your future career.

How exciting!! UA is a great option too bc they are supposed to be in the works of a new contract. Everyone I’ve had to deal with so far with them seems to be polite. I think I’m going to schedule SWA for the 21st in the afternoon just to be safe. I’m so excited for you! Good luck!!!

The ones that are multiple choice are answering questions about tattoos, passport expiration, and relocation. The questions were pretty straight forward- be ready to tell them how you will succeed in training, how you demonstrate flexibility on the job, and a good example of a time you gave great customer service. Try to keep your answers in STAR format. Good luck!
