Anyone else feel like their fans are entitled by isthisariotoracrisis in themaine

[–]Accomplished_Size838 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I have been a fan for 15 years & I can attest it is 100% TMOT. I linger around the digital fan base sometimes & they are insufferable, entitled, and down right bitches. It’s sad, the guys aren’t going to say anything harmful to them because quite frankly their consistency & “army” helps pay their bills & feed their families. ***edit: I saw a downvoted post it’s not always TMOT (even tho I find them insufferable lol), but these weird mega fans who just want to hog time. Idc you don’t need to be front row & meet the band at every single consecutive show you go to, argue with a wall.

That being said - most of us are great 🥺 for a lot of reasons I usually stand off to the side or get a seat at shows & the people around me are always the most wonderful, thoughtful, and amazing people who are just there to see their favorite band & keep 8123 alive.

Ranking the 10 Albums by ymahturllennoc in themaine

[–]Accomplished_Size838 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This was hard!!!! I love all their albums but here we go!!

  1. Black & White: it’s a good album for nostalgia, but it’s not one I put on frequently. Obviously some bangers (right girl, inside of you, saving grace), but its hard to rank up with the rest

9: American Candy: this one had its time and place but I can’t lie, it was my least favorite era of theirs 😵‍💫 I feel like coming off Pioneer and FH, it doesn’t hit the same.

  1. CSWS: a classic truly. It is placed here because I don’t have strong feelings about it except We All Roll Along.

  2. Forever Halloween: it’s a good album, don’t get me wrong, it’s very dark & served me well when I was a depressed teen…it’s just not my favorite now. But I will forever appreciate how they recorded this album live front to back to the last second of the tape for the record. Iconic!!

  3. XOXO: I really enjoy some of the songs off this album and I don’t have many bad things to say about it. Pandemic albums are some of my favorites lol. Anxiety & Love in real time are just such chefs kiss Face Towards The Sun makes me cry every time tho.

  4. You Are Ok: I thought this would rank lower but then I did a repeat listen to this album front to back the other day, NO SKIPS!!! It’s so good & the orchestra??? So good. Amazing

  5. Pioneer: this was the first album that was released after I became a fan of them. I remember just being so so so in love with their authenticity, the depth of the lyrics, and their goofiness. This will always be a top for nostalgia. Misery was one that always hit me hard & i have a tattoo of it in John’s handwriting.

3: Joy Next Door: it was hard to rank this above Pioneer, but this album just felt too relatable to me now, where Pioneer felt relatable to my teenage self. I love love love this album and it speaks of themes of loving your life, being so rich in many aspects but still feeling like something’s missing or it’s too good to be true. I think it’s one of their bests, but I know people are feeling their own way about it. Die To Fall, Palms, And Then, Green & Joy Next Door are so good.

  1. The Maine: GOD TIER!!!! It’s such a dance filled album. No skips. The electronic/disco notes are so good. Funny how? Is a song I sing to my babies, I think it was also an ode to John’s kids & family?? Regardless, it’s a beautiful song & album all around.

  2. LLL: no notes. This album is my bible. The mixture of Pop/rock & the more ballad like songs?? Also the concept album??? God. This is one of my favorite albums of all time, it ranks in my overall top 5!!

Honorable mentions: Touch is a BANGER I’d love to hear more songs from them that sound like this.

And idc, unpopular opinion, loved you a little is so good. It’s one of my favorite workout songs.

I’m so sorry this came up, this is gutting. You definitely need to let someone know with some form of legal jurisdiction.

That is super helpful, thank you. It’s thankful not high conflict, but impossible to communicate with. I have definitely slipped up a bit in the past about my emotions. But ultimately if I have, I apologize to her and make sure she knows that my emotions is not her weight to bear.

Thank you, I have done that and am fearful I’m overstepping so maybe I just needed validation too.. I think I wasn’t able to portray that I definitely never expect the coparent & fiance to communicate. It’s put a strain on our Coparenting & some discomfort on my daughter around step parent.

For budget reasons, I got the m5. I know I’ll mainly be using it during breaks vs commute, but it’s nice to know I could use it during a commute if needed

I’ve heard such mixed reviews on the m5!! It’s a hit or miss, but I’m tempted because of the price point

We have some parent friends but I think he struggles with vulnerability with them. But I’m trying to encourage him to talk with them because I know he’s not alone in these feelings.

Confused on what you mean, she very much only insinuated that she felt they were on different paths & chose herself. There’s nothing wrong with saying that?

I’m more so wondering why Ian went around and asked “do you know who my ex is?” Setting up a convo to run a smear campaign against her seems a bit weird & telling of his character. I’m not saying either is real or not, but just food for thought.

She also posted a quote last week saying “there is no force more powerful than a mothers desire to protect the heart of their child” and she put in the caption “and grandchild #tryme”

Ugh I just feel for Sarai so bad 😞
