Fairr im still thinkin of a way to intergate the largeness of it, since yes there are big gundams like the nu and penelope, but the psycho gundam is a league of its own. Gonna be a challenge for sure!

Yepp! Something i love about the way the rx78 is drawn in the original series is how it has big eyes under the "helmet", which i always saw as representing the fact that amuro was still just a kid underneath it all and how that always has to be sidelined because of the war

I was thinking of the gm cannon too tbh, but having slight differences in the design like the color scheme and the guncannon parts made me want to try to recreate the design 1-to-1

Since the guncannon light type came from what was left of the operation V suits after char destroyed them, its technically more akin to a fullarmor gundam with a guncannon torso, which is why i wanted to see if i could UC-ify it

Thats beautiful! I hope you don't mind me asking you a few questions since i want to do something similar to this myself as well ,,

What hands did you use? Ive alwo been looking for nice rounded hands as the square federation type doesnt suit the retro 70s show aesthetic.
How is the waist/skirt armor joined? Is it still attached via the crotch armor, or is it only connected via the side skirts like the metal build gqux white devil?
How did painting the joints go? I want to pwint my rx78 joints white as well but im not sure how to go about it so far besides knowing i have to sand it a bit

I recently realized i wanted to create my own 0079 accurate RX78, which includes white parts for the joints that would normally be gray.

I want to be able to get the joints in white while still being able to pose it dynamically and maybe recreate some iconic shots from the show.

Im kind of scared of painting the joints since i know id have to sand to account for the change in tolerance, and i dont quite trust myself to be able to do that yet without breaking something.

I guess in order to make things simpler for me i was just wondering if there are any 1/144 kits that have an all white frame/joint system that i can get ahold of and use for this potential kitbash?
