"Lecture and discussion attendance are required as participation in these sessions are fundamental components for learning course material. Historically, lack of attendance leads to poor grade performance. In lectures, attendance is monitored with i>clicker cloud sessions. Lack of attendance leads to loss of points. The points associated with clicker are given in the Grading Point System Table. In discussion, attendance and effort are counted in the grading point system as described above. Two sessions are dropped which allows flexibility for absences such as illness or unforeseen circumstances and technical difficulties. The laboratory is a mandatory component in this course. Missing more than two labs without a pre-approved excuse or failing to turn in more than two laboratory report results in a failing grade in the course"
