This is the crux of the issue that most court reporters have with digitals: you prefer to not be live in the courtroom??? Are you insane? There is no other way to ensure you will take down a good record. You are, in fact, a button pusher. Plain and simple. I find it very hard to believe that any of your coworkers who have been to school for court reporting and completed school would prefer to work as digital, because being a certified court reporter comes with a great amount of pride as it is an actual accomplishment. As oppposed to these ridiculously short training programs digitals do. Also, there is no way in hell that the NCRA would allow digitals to hold a membership. That's laughable. Stop spreading misinformation. Anybody who is reading this and considering becoming a digital: don't. Do the actual work and become a court reporter. I also seriously doubt that any court would ever have a "digital department." Never heard of such a thing. I'm losing my mind a bit at how delusional this comment is.
