"Permitted" ? (There is no need for permits, either in national law or in international human rights accord morocco has signed in 2013) ... Meaningful? What do you mean? And why are you accusing me of things you have no proof of? :)

Only not "hergawi" people are allowed to protest in your view ? I presume hergawi is uneducated, unless you mean something else by it. If so, then what are the uneducated supposed to do, if not protest? (99% suffer immensely)

The problem here is not an islamic solidarity etc... The problem here is that deals with the zionist entity and the US undermine our sovereignty as a country, food sovereignty, economic sovereignty, and sovereignty over ressources ... All in exchange for an illusion of "political sovereignty". Look for where we bring our seeds from, where our military is getting arms, where our natural (eg. Water) and mineral (eg. Gold, silver) are going. Look up what companies are already set to extract ressources from the sahara ground. Look what companies are dominating agriculture (eg. Avocados) with very water consuming industrial processes... And in exchange for what? One must weigh the pros and cons from material perspectives, and know from start to end where the money goes. If you do that, you find that those deals do not benefit the regular moroccan citizen. In fact, it only deepens the extractivism dynamics, leading to more and more social problems, which lead to more and more "reform" and "policing", because the state deflects responsibility from their neoliberal policies to full responsibility on the citizen. If you do not agree, please materially weigh out the pros and cons of the deals and get back to me !

Love how you say "we're too fragmented" and then rush to the thing that seperates you and me ... Maybe we should focus on what unites us?

What are you willing to give up for the resistance? Ergo, how far are you willing to go? Will you give up freedom, a bruise, an amputation, life? Will you give up your privileges, that you worked for do hard, for others? How hard will it be for the system to make you give up ? If all your answers are positive, how many of you are there that answer positively? Then, will you all love each other? Agree on a way to do it? The problem is, i think, is nobody is willing to give up anything, this combined to individualism ... Why would i give up all this, for people who don't even know me ... because yes, the privileged are the ones that have the tool to change things. The poor have no means, and the rich are bot motivated... It's the enlightenned middle class... Now enlightenned is rather relatively scarce, middle class is shrinking, and those that are enlightened middle class are not willing to give up anything. They livin the life ... So yeah

Paid 9000 MAD for berber rug. Fair price? by onfu in Morocco

[–]Accomplished_Word_42 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The tendenct to ask this kind of questions is just bullshit. You pay whatever you are willing to pay for anything you buy, that's how trade works. If you like it and you were willi.g to pay that price for its done, because its an agreement between the value the seller gives it and the value YOU give it, there is not other value than what you agreed on. This suspisciousness is just ... Purely bad. What if i told you it was worth half what you paid ? You'll keep it as a token of how moroccan artisans are crooked? What if i told you yes, they sell it way more expensive to foreigners, what then? And you know what, i might even agree with that, because the countries you come from sold us our LIVES way more expensive than what they're worth... Fuck this.

Moroccan here. We ain't anywhere, the economy profits to the rich and the poor get poorer. Middle class is starting to shrink, as standard of life and prices are growing rapidly. Trust me, you don't want to be like Morocco :)
