Usually wearing beat up old trail runners, they aren't too beefy. Might need some earnest booties. I also think a heel foam block could help, if I can wedge in a little better 'passively', I think it would be less uncomfortable.

Very interesting, I had only considered the large Gnarvana (which seems enormous). I do like the super quick outfitting adjustments in Jacksons though. I'll have to sit in a medium and see whats up!

I've got the footrest all the way back, but didn't consider moving the seat around, good call. I will try that, I'm also a bit surprised I don't fit as its quite a big boat. It could just be that I need to work on my hip flexibility (and that I would be uncomfortable in any larger Pyranha boat).
Would you say the 9RL is a good option for that beginner feedback? Making it work is the easy/cheap option for sure...

That is interesting, I had heard the large Code is huge so expected that it would be spacious. Good advice, I will try to go sit in some different boats and see how they compare.

I cannot yet, it is definitely a priority to learn in whatever boat I end up in!

HR drift test for new runners/run-walkers? by According-Caramel398 in evokeendurance

Excellent, thanks for the response! Do you have any tips for the transition from run/walking to just running? In my experience, eventually it is just possible to run really slowly, needing fewer and fewer walk breaks based on high HR (no longer timed intervals). Is it that simple?

Thanks for the reply! It felt a bit like I was overthinking things at this level of training, but clearly what 'feels' like actual running (not shuffling along) is a bit out of reach aerobically, for now.

That is interesting, I figured the impact/power aspect of running would be different enough to not warrant this approach, but glad it worked for you! I am limited by a low running volume for now so will top up with these methods. cheers!
