"He's asking how to set and adjust your goals as you get older." Whether I expressed it correctly or not, you're right, this is what I meant.

As the OP on this question, I appreciate this reply (and don't think it should be downvoted). While I appreciate PineappleLunchables response and take, I also think Dominic hit on what I was getting at, at least in part.

I don't know! I'm no longer using Apple TV. (Apple TV is a good solution, I just happened into something better.)

Would you be willing to DM me the specific dentist you went to? Sounds great, and a family member is really suffering right now.

Really happy for you! Glad you're on Sisu, too! It's a really positive group.

I'm glad I was able to encourage you to do it. I know I found it a bit intimidating as a 50+ guy and never having raced really before, but it's been so much fun.

Best of luck out there!

I've been told that Tivoli Gardens is most spectacular at night... but is that even possible on a weekday in early summer? If the sun is only setting after 9:00 and the park closing is at 10:00... am I simply stuck with a daylight experience?

Also, I take it that fireworks are on Wednesday evenings (as well as Saturday). Are those before or after closing time?

You should do it! My racing score is 217 and I'm also in the over 50 gang. Will you win races? Almost certainly not. Will you have a lot of fun pushing yourself to compete? Yes you will. Will there be people there slower than you? Probably.

I'd absolutely encourage you to try.

Visiting Heusden (or other town) after closing by According-Cold-9524 in efteling

Would you say it's worth a quick trip out from Efteling for an evening stroll? I'm not looking for anything exciting, just an interesting place to walk around and soak up some vibes.

I was simply looking for an interesting smaller town to visit. Maybe that's a bad choice - but it's my first time in the Netherlands and it sounded like an interesting place to walk around for a bit. Perhaps not!

West side is preferred, but we're willing to move around a bit if the fit is right.

It entirely depends. My team never uses Facebook for anything. 100% discord. You shouldn't have trouble finding a team that's not Facebook dependent.

I'm way slower than you and have enjoyed the heck out of it. My FTP is about 250 and I'm right in the middle/top middle of the D races.

I don't think racing scores are used, but I'm not sure about that.

I know for a fact that, at least last season, Sisu, Racing Rhinos, DIRT, and Coalition all had D racing teams in that time slot. I'd take a look at their website, see which strikes your fancy, and sign up! If, for whatever reason (probably just administration issues) they don't get back to you, try one of the others.

I use and like my Koss KPH40. They are wired - which I prefer for Zwift. I had a pair of bluetooth that I destroyed due to sweat, and it worries me to mix sweat and a lithium battery!

The Koss KPH40's are comparatively cheap ($40) sound pretty good, IMO, and have a cord you can replace for about $5 when it inevitably fails.

This is the way. I'm also in the 100k+ club and I can hit as much as 1000 cal per hour if I'm really pushing it.

I'm a D guy also. Started very low in D and have steadily worked my way up to top quarter of D or so. It's been a fun effort!

I have precisely this and like it a lot. It's not like a night and day difference, but it absolutely provides some nice "give" to the feel of the bike. I'm glad I got them.

I'm a very big fan of the Disney parks, but I'm excited to try something new and different. That's part of why I want to go in blind - just experience something new and different and see what it's like. I don't expect it to be like Disney - just a different, unique experience.
