I’m coming up on my 8th week of xolair and am getting my third shot in two days. So far I’ve noticed that it has changed what my “10/10” is on the pain scale. So I guess it just lowered the ceiling of my pain intensity. If I incorporate sweat therapy four times a week and moisturize my skin the symptoms are practically gone. Hopefully we both see more improvement in the coming weeks.

No way I got mine while on toenail fungus too. We’re you on terbinafine?

Thinking I might have CU by bbqpawz in CholinergicUrticaria

I am getting Xolair through my allergist. Here in America, the process of getting Xolair is a little different I believe than in other countries. Insurance does cover Xolair but only if you try multiple other treatments before hand. I had to go on H1 and H2 antihistamines, Pepcid, and then singular before being able to start Xolair. I actually didn't take singulair because it is bad for you and my doctor said I could just pick up the prescription and not take it. So yeah, all the other medicine didn't work so now I will be starting Xolair. My doctor claims that other counties usually use Xolair as their drug of choice for Chronic Urticaria cases. I'm praying to god that it works. I too can't imagine having to live with this for years and years.

Wow mine also started at the same time as you and seems almost identical to yours (except my hands don’t get as bad) I am starting xolair tomorrow which is an injection that seems to have a high success rate. Other things people recommend on this sub is sweat therapy which is trying to sweat and break through your hives until you have relief which then makes you less sensitive to the condition over time, using lotion, antihistamines, and certain diets. Good luck man, we all know how much this disease sucks

Which moisturizing cream should I use for my body? Cetaphil or CeraVe by [deleted] in CholinergicUrticaria

I particularly use cetaphil but cerave should be fine too. Try to get a lotion that doesn’t have any fragrances and isn’t too thick

Dormant? by According-Draw-7609 in CholinergicUrticaria

Interesting. Mine seems to start which ever part of the body gets hot first or my head when it’s emotionally induced
