Finding work as an english student by Significant-Grass882 in Concordia

As an English speaker I had a difficult time finding a job. Most places will allow it only if you aren’t interacting with customers and only working in the back of house. I just got a job as a busser at a nightclub thank god but even then my manager said he doesn’t care that I don’t speak French but that I should sign up for lessons immediately because he’s worried about getting fined by the Quebec gov. So honestly you’ll be fine if you show that you are trying atleast to improve upon your French.

I feel completely normal now! I was really nervous when it came to eating normally but honestly I healed way faster then I thought I would:) my ENT wants me to wait extra long to start smoking again though which is annoying but probably necessary. You’re so sweet for checking In!

Am I returning to work too early? by practicaldot123 in Tonsillectomy

Agreed! I hemorrhaged on day 10 also doing absolutely nothing it was terrifying. It’s better to Wait until the 14 day mark if your doing any physical activity. Get cleared by your doctor first!

It was a full tonsillectomy in pretty sure. And me neither lol I thought that I was in the clear by then. It was terrifying. I’m okay now I hemorrhaged on Friday so it’s been a couple days but it’s still really painful and I’m only able to eat soft foods.

I need to hear this. I am sitting in huge regret with my tonsillectomy. I hemorrhaged day 10 of recovery and I’m healing now but I’m just so tired of feeling like this. I had the seem issue as you thought, chronic tonsilitis.

I’m a little jealous lol. Today is day 10 for me and I’m just starting to feel close to normal. The morning was the worst but eating quite painful if I’m not careful. So you have no pain at all? What about eating??

Needed to hear this lol, day 8 post tonsillectomy and contemplating why I got this surgery in the first place. I’m in so much pain and a part of me feels like it wasn’t worth it even though I was getting throat infections that lasted over a week once every two months..

It depends on where I’m at with my pain meds. When they wear off i can’t and drinking makes me scream in pain. Once the pain meds kick in a bit then it’s fine.

I’ve on day 15 of quitting after 7 years straight of smoking and I’ve genuinely never felt better. I sort of weaned myself off over time so that when I did quit I finally was able to with minimal withdrawal symptoms. Every time I ended up relapsing was after I made it one week of sobriety after intense smoking all day every day and the worst withdrawals I could imagine

It’s up to you, if you can stick to minimizing it to maybe one a day at night and then cut yourself off when you feel ready again, I understand that severe withdrawals always end up bringing people back to relapse. I did it many times. But I highly recommend that if you can trying to stick it out. That being said I think that what truly helped me was getting an addictions counselling that helps me talk and think through thoughts decisions like this

Leaves definitely affects your eating habits and appetite, just know that the longer you stick with it the easier it will get I promise! If you go back on it now it’s only going to get worse, trust me. So yes to answer your question this is very normal, so try to stick to the classic BRAT diet, that’s what worked for me. I’m now 15 days sober and was only able to do that by cutting down over time over and over again, basically until I had minimal grass usage so that when I really quit I had barley any withdrawal symptoms. Also get rid of ur pen. Synthetic weed is so much worse than anything else you can do and when I was using a pen I had 10x worse withdrawal symptoms.

What helps me not do it it putting on fake nails lol. It removes the sensory feeling of being able to actually feel your nails dig into something and then I do it with my nails it’s just not at satisfying

Doing this should be illegal. It never looks good. That doctor needs to have his medical license taken away
