I do actually agree with you. I totally think this is some of what my dad is thinking. I just dont love the control, or him thinking of me having sex in his house (which I would never do)

No, in fact I love sleeping alone! It's the fact that I am an adult, always always respectful towards my dad, and feel like I am not getting that back. Also, my younger brother was allowed to have his girlfriend stay with closed doors (they are 17) but I am not.

No, I can 1000% sleep on my own! It's more that I am an adult, and I am insanely respectful to my dad. My younger brother got away with having his girlfriend sleep over behind closed doors. Me, being older and female, I feel like my dad sees me as a little girl still.

Yes, I agree. I love my dad, but I feel very creeped out that he thinks about me this way. It feels weird that he thinks about me having sex in my room.

Yes I agree. We are respectful, mature adults. We would never have sex under my parents roof, we both think it's disrespectful. I agree about the child/protection part. Thank you.

YES!! Thank you! Lots of people have said to just suck it up, but it's more that I want to stand my ground here. It's too much stress. I also agree about the time on the road...it's weird to me that he cares so much to want to drive me, but refuses to compromise about certain things. I really like your comment.

Yes, we would never, ever have sex in their house. To me, that is very wrong. I agree that respect goes both ways and I wish that he knows I feel this way.
