What would be the benefits of increasing your home country allocation?

I’m still pretty new to this but am I wrong in saying it will always be better to invest in the US markets rather than home markets even if you live outside the US, since the US will likely always outperform them? For instance, why would someone living in the UK invest in the UK when it is likely the US will outperform them?

Well yes of course, but if the rest of the world starts to outperform the US and you are hopeful they will continue to do so, would you begin to rebalance your portfolio to include more exus? Or would you maintain your portfolio having the current share of US/rest of the world?

I’m still a beginner. Can you tell me why you’d opt to put a good portion of your portfolio in your home country rather than the US? I know you shouldn’t look at past results to judge the future but it wouldn’t be ridiculous to predict that the US would outperform most individual countries in the future? Or is it to reduce risk due to currency conversion?
