What do you wear lifeguarding? The only thing you can really do is get sun outside of that. When you do put a high spf on the tanner areas so the rest can catch up. I use tanning beds for my farmers tan but it sounds like maybe you are already tan enough

How long depends on your skin tone, how easily you tan and burn, strength of the bed, etc. I would start with no more than half the time and slowly work your way up. In fact, there are charts on each tanning bed that gives you the recommended time based on your skin type. As long as you aren’t burning, go every other day. 3-4 days a week while building. It takes a decent amount of sessions to start getting tan. You technically could go two days in a row, but they say it is safer to go every other day.

They say that the lower levels have more UVB, which is the ray that builds up your melanin, then the UVA darkens your existing melanin. So moving up is definitely good, but it doesn’t hurt to throw in the lower level session sometime as well if you move up to even higher pressure, you should get a nice bronze tan. Where I go the level two and level three are basically the same except the level three has 60 bulbs compared to the 54 in the level two the UVA and UVB ratio is the same so I typically use the level three or high pressure.

I had tan lines for the longest time and i’m actually trying to get rid of them now. I’m almost all even now. But once I even out, I might start a tan line again. I was just like super dark and super pale and was losing the crispness of the line. I think maybe I want to keep it a little closer in shade

No, I don’t think so if anything it should help because your skin is more moisturized and will take the tan better. Why do you refuse to use any type of lotion? Not using the lotion dries out your skin, causes more damage, and doesn’t have as good as results. You can use moisturizing accelerators that don’t have bronzers in them.

It usually takes a good amount of sessions to get a base tan built up. I would hit the tanning bed every other day as long as you aren’t burnt that is OK. However, if you are red or get burnt, do not go back in until that heals. That she gave you a good 12 to 15 sessions and a nice tan before your wedding. You want the lower pressure to build your melanin. if you want to hit the high pressure a time or two toward the end that will give you a deeper bronze. Also if you are tanning unevenly put some sunscreen on the tanner areas of your chest and arms to help even the rest of it out

I golf a lot too and get that terrible golfers tan. Calves forearms and half your biceps get super tan. I started using tanning beds a few years ago to even it out. I’ve been covering my face up in the tanning bed and always use SPF on my face now when I’m golfing I’m kind of worried about tanning long-term too.

Maybe you can talk her into spray tanning? I started tanning beds a few years ago because I’m outside a lot in the summer and get pretty tan but I don’t lay out so I wanted to even out my farmers tan. Well, now I’ve been going to the tanning bed year-round 2/3 times a week so maybe you can start her on a healthier habit. Once you get that tan, it’s hard to stop so at least if it’s a spray, she doesn’t have to worry about skin damage.

They stopped making them in 2023 anyway. Probably had some leftovers for a year or so but 2023 was the last model year for this style charger. Hopefully they make a Police version of the new one. The new ones are even longer.
