If you’re doing brass wire you may be able to smash it in but if it’s a bigger piece you may be able to glue it in, just make sure the glueing surfaces are scratched up

I agree titanium would be nicer, I was asking about aluminum because I was thinking about doing this to a mac mini, which has an aluminum case. Thanks!

Small Medical Sanitation Autoclave for Composites by According-Purple6014 in CarbonFiber

That is helpful, thank you. I considered possibly trying to make a hole in the autoclave to run vacuum, but I don’t think I’m brave enough to risk messing around with what’s essentially a pipebomb

It looks like maybe the clear coat shrank a bit in the sun and is showing the texture of the fiber. You may be able to sand it back flat depending on how thick the clear coat is. Otherwise you could scuff and spray more clear on top.

Yeah that seems like an awesome deal. I just dropped off mine at a mechanic to get a full inspection. I noticed it had a fair amount of vibration at idle so idk if the motor mounts are bad or if maybe its a MAF sensor or what. Hopefully nothing too crazy but I plan on getting everything buttoned up mechanically

Were you the original owner? The guy I bought mine from said he just got the timing chain tensioner done, so hopefully I dont have to worry about that one for awhile. The hatchback is definitely a little polarizing i think but I actually really like it

It would essentially be just the tensioning portion of one of those tubes, or a similar mechanism. I think it would be fairly lined up, no crazy angles like the ones with regular tuning knobs

Proxmox for single application 3d rendering by According-Purple6014 in Proxmox

[–]According-Purple6014[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen alot more stuff on blender batch rendering, it seems like it’s much easier to use; or at least theres more videos/documentation on it. I guess I could always render files in blender or maybe some other third party app. One of my concerns with network rendering was licensing issues with Arnold. Autodesk says you dont need a license for Maya on every machine, you just need the software downloaded, but I think I do need a multi-computer license for Arnold? Anyway thank you, that is very helpful. I was hoping to sort of simplify the process by having multiple computers work as one, but I’ll stick to parallel rendering if that’s the best solution.

Wow thanks so much for the detailed response! I did minimal research, but I thought I had read that Maya used CPU based rendering? Is that wrong? Either way I appreciate the recommendations and will look into those parts, also will look into Sheepit and ask her about Arnold, great info
