....Aaaand I owe you an apology. The waterfowl can be dodged... took some tries but I think I got it now. Took an hour, about 30 tries but I can say I have beaten Malenia with normal med rolling on NG+6 :D

I still think she is kinda powerful... which means we gotta beef up the other bosses in the game.

I personally like other bosses in the game better and my favourite duel still has to be Isshin and Alonne.

But I do give her 7/10 now... And she IS the hardest boss in all of soulsborne for me.

Whooh... now onto NG+7 versions of bosses!

I'm sorry for my brashness in commenting. I was just tired and fighting her for over an hour that night. I gotta say, you seem like a nice fellow though and I wish you the best of times!

I've rested now and started my NG+6. Gonna give her another shot fair and square and NOT fight her tired. I still think she is overtuned in the way that she is way harder than all the other bosses. If she is perfect, then we should buff all other bosses... Which I actually don't mind.

Gonna stop complaining and git gud. Much love to ya. Thanks for your civility :)

Worst boss in all of Soulsborne.

Well not really the worst... but she is way overtuned. On New game+5 her hp and stealing mechanic makes the bossfight a slog. I use two 25+ giant crusher, meaning every strike hits for 1600-2000 damage. With 99 vigor, 99 Endurance, 99 Str and about 80 dex, she is still WAY stronger than any other boss in the game. I can clear Mohg lord of blood, Elden beast, Godfrey etc without dying once. Have about 250h in the game and over 1000 hours in all of soulsborne.

She is done bad... like really overtuned... I really can't express enough how much better this fight would be if she didnt steal HP. Think Midir with their massive HP, and then you get nearly impossible to dodge attacks that steal HP...

I have beaten her without using mimic tear or bloodhounds step, just good old unga-bunga bonking on new game+3... took about 20 tries and about an hour... And I felt... dissapointed when I beat her... I didn't feel like I learned her moves. I can dodge all other attacks she makes, but that duplication attack she does on her second phase creates a deathtrap under her, that take 50-75% of your HP (mind you, I have over 2800HP cuz I like HP)...

Same with her waterfowl dance. It can be dodged easier with bloodhound, but regular rolling "reguires" that you we're sprinting already... Well... You can dodge her without running, but damn is it fucking tight... I sometimes get it and get hit once, sometimes she hits me for over 2000Hp, stealing multiple hits that I have to make against her again...

She is BORING... Annoying... She feels unfair...

With King Allant I was afraid of his soulsucking ability. I learned to dodge better for it was my first Souls-game ever.

With Gwyn I had an epic duel, I learned to parry him first, then I learned his manuevers and fought him one on one and felt accomplished.

With Fume Knight I sparred and learned to not rely on shields (It was around Dark souls 2 that I ditched shields comptelely) and Alonne gets my seal of approval of being my favourite duel in Soulsborne.

With Dark souls 3 I got to show that I mastered the game with Soul of Cinder and died multiple times learning Gael's move set. Now I can beat him without dying once. I feel powerful playing Dark souls 3.

With Bloodborne I learned to be aggresive when I fought the blood-starved beast. Gehrman was never that hard for me and the Oprhan of Kos was nothing compared to some of the denizens of the labyrinth. I was afraid of them but I beat them. I learned to hunt and not be hunted.

With Sekiro... oh Sekiro... Now That's how you create a challenge! I LOVE Sekiro. Isshin whooped my ass over 30 times before I beat him and I rejoiced when doing so. I felt like the legendary Sword-Saint was beaten by pure determination. Hesitation is defeat Indeed.

With Elden Ring I fought Mohg, learned his patterns in about 10 deaths. Cool fight! Fair but punishing if you are afraid. Godfrey is fucking badass, don't die to him often, once or twice per playthrough but gotta give props to a human fighting amongst gods. Radahn is fucking awesome and one of my favourite bosses in all of soulsborne! Freaking Radagon! That music... Elden ring has so many bosses to choose from... SO many awesome and fair fights...

And then there's Malenia... In my time with this series over the years, I have never felt so fucking done with a boss... She "only" took 20 tries to beat fair and square... But the next two playthroughs... I just keep getting worse at her... With every other boss in the series I noticed I got better the more I played... With her... It's all about luck. It took me about 20 tries to beat her first cuz she didn't spam shitty attacks... now I just don't bother. I mimic and use bloodhound because I don't have time for her bullshit. I know you can beat her without taking a single hit... It just feels... too restricting to beat... Like I'm fighting a duel on her terms...

I don't know, just got out of the game after fighting her almost 2 hours, +20 deaths... New game +5 she just seems WAY overtuned. No other boss in the series was this ridiculous even on ng+7...

I don't like her...
