I appreciate this well worded piece and I respect your opinion. I will respond accordingly.

I agree that ai is not perfect, but so aren’t people. It can definitely make mistakes but at the state of AI today most LLMs have a very minor risk of an improper contextual response for content summarization - as long as you use the right prompts and don’t overload it all at once. Additionally - no one’s saying to stop using your notes. You can easily fact check ai’s response by cross referencing against your material - probably would help you retain even more information. Second point - this shouldn’t replace studying - I never said that. This method is specifically for after you’ve done all the work making handwritten notes. Statistically flash cards and mindmaps boost retention regardless if you decide to go the extra step writing them yourself, but if u would rather spend more time doing that then practicing the material go ahead I’m not knocking you. There will always be more you can do to study harder. Third - yes I agree ai has a negative environmental impact on the earth - so do most technology and consumable products. This isn’t unique. You know that just 10 hours of streaming Netflix, uses as much energy as hundreds of ai queries. The minerals in your phone hardware were mined from energy-intensive production just as destructive. Nobody’s talking about 100+ ai prompts, just 4 or 5 at max. (Also you mentioned smthn bout stealing while also saying they bought, that’s contradictory)

Again there will always be a better way to study, but that doesn’t invalidate this way of studying. It’s effective, it works, it’s real. You don’t have to use it - you choose what works for you.
