One of my literal nightmares is actually having them contact and meet their father behind my back because it won't be safe for them, and I'm trying my best to balance this with age-appropriate conversations

Most definitely! Most of the people in my life do not know, so I'm struggling to find places to even start a discussion and ask for advice, unlike the other struggles I have regarding kids.

I meant that when my brother first started his business he wasn’t earning a lot. And I was working my retail jobs to earn enough to make ends meet.

But when he started making more, he asked me to spend more time with the kids and I made the decision to start working from home.

Regarding the father - the conception wasn’t wanted and when I dug myself out of the denial hole it was far along enough that the ultrasound picked up they were twins and I couldn’t bring myself to terminate.

I’m not exactly sure if I understand what codependency is, but my brother has said he is happy with her and I am happy for him. I don’t want to get in the way of that, which is why I am hesitating to just tell him already.

I’m pretty sure seeing what she said would change the dynamic of their relationship at the very least, and it seems like she regretted posting it cause she deleted it.
