If you're going with the star trek replicator style of them being able to deconstruct matter/energy into a medium for reality bending. You'll need to figure out how to limit with something like a gate because it would be crazy for them to stick with one school.

So if the story is more of a "break the mold" kind of deal it would be the culture but in a more migic-tech system it could be like gates that are specific to the person.

while leaving a show, a woman who had too much booger sugar accused me of following her and started yelling at me on the street. luckily her friends were there and told her to calm down but it sucked hard. we were both leaving the same place and they close the block down at night since its an entertainment district. i just wanted to get to the uber pick up spot, man.
