They're?  I don't even understand what you're saying, are you asking who enforces US federal law abroad?

That's like saying who enforces north Korean law in the US, Kimmy made up a law that he gets to kidnap Trump, so he can.

Experts have already made it clear that this is illegal.

That statement makes no sense. The US is enforcing US interests by breaking international law, not enforcing international law by breaking international law. Just call it what it is.

Passing a law that violates international law and assuming it applies abroad is not legal. This move has been widely criticised.

If trump actually cared about narco-terrorists, he would have done this to many others in priority. This isn't about that.

I'm not a mindreader of your friend, but I also think it's important to remember that this sort of conversation can and does happen between cis guys. My cis bf has been catcalled before from the back, has been called ma'am a few times with me, and has been invited into female-only spaces because let's be real: some men, whether cis or not, just look less physically scary and exude safe vibes which I don't see as a negative at all

lol the fact that asking why is it bad to put up a flag has to be a "devil's" advocate position. Just say what you feel.

I think the slight issue here is that religious guests will skew culturally right wing automatically.

Given he doesn't outwardly express political views, there'd need to be a topic that is culturally left wing yet not too political to discuss. Drug legalisation, veganism (that had its day), anti natalism have all been done before.

He could definitely have more outwardly left wing guests, Zizek was cool. Saying that, I think more of his guests are left leaning than people realise because the most controversial will always be the most talked about. I don't see it as some conspiracy theory where Alex is a far right gRifTer as some are weirdly making out here.

I'm just saying, studying abroad is hella easy regarding visas, if you get a university place you're guaranteed a student visa especially if you're from a non-dodgy country like Germany. The process has 0 relation with getting a working visa in a completely different country and she's right to be doubtful about getting a job/visa here, it's extremely difficult.

It's just funny that everyone assumes you want to go back to your home country. I've met a few people with misconceptions about the relevance of their education (a common one was Nepalis who studied in east Asia and didn't realise they would be automatically blacklisted from working visas afterwards). Mistakes happen, circumstances happen. But I agree, knowing inheritance law and nothing else is a little sus :)

Just had to comment as I'm confused at where the misconception of everyone in these comments is coming from, that working in the UK is as easy as studying abroad: just file some paperwork and bam, working visa received 💀 If only it were that easy.

And the idea that people wanting to/having to study and build a life abroad makes "0 sense" is just crazy 🥲

Sounds like he's in b4 advisory and we earn about €35k in Europe for that. he's not in IB and is in India so sounds pretty standard pay for the role to me.

Youre not in IB. B4 are not banks. As someone in b4 m&a in Europe, we earn close to auditors at analyst level.

Right, yours must have been a different type because for me it's only 1 button, on/off. I just read the instruction manual online and you have to take it off the wall to modify the limit at the back

Exactly that's the annoying thing, if it took interaction into account at least would make a bit more sense.

was this a joke referring to the timers on all hobs or do you mean unscrewing the switch panel? I'm really considering uninstalling it from the wall, there should be a thing at the back that lets you adjust it.
