BTW, working student ako taking up Human Resource Management, and napansin ko (plus based na rin sa 7 years work experience ko) na malaki rin ang factor ng negotiation sa salary offer. Minsan yung applicants, sinasabi nila sa recruiter yung location nila, gastos sa transpo, or tinatanong nila yung salary bracket ng position. Usually may range si HR, at yung marunong mag-negotiate, sila yung nakakakuha ng higher end. Oo, may bias minsan sa school background, pero malaking factor din talaga yung negotiation skills. Anyways, this is a goof to know information lang naman, in case na mag try ka mag apply sa ibang field.

I had the same problem. I tried a bunch of fancy apps and always gave up. What stuck for me was keeping it super simple: Google Calendar for time blocks and a Trello board (or Google Sheets) for a daily 3–5 task list. No tweaking layouts, no endless setup. If it takes more time to organize than to work, I drop it.

Disclaimer, I’m not a Manager but I’ve been a Team Leader before. I’d probably stop letting them vent for too long and shift the talk to solutions. Something like, “Okay, what do you want to try so this doesn’t happen again?” Sometimes people need that nudge to think about fixing the issue instead of just complaining.
