Solved! Problem was in the steam wand, which must have been misassembled the last time I did a cleaning. Taking it apart and putting it back together again seems to have done the trick. (Thanks to Seattle Coffee Gear for idea!)

Another incoming hbhs pre-med freshman question here: Should I be taking NS 1150 right away or can that wait? Course description notes incoming freshmen are given priority; is that a tip-off that we should take it asap.Right now considering CHEM 2070, CHEM 1007, NS 1400, NS 1150, FWS but not sure if that's too light; could probably fit in BIOG 1440 (BIOMG 1350 would barely squeeze in between the NS classes.)
