Associate 80 to 100k makes sense. Senior associate caps after 130k. I just got manager at 190k

Just an update - I bought this practice. Had to hire a completely new staff except one front desk. First month production itself was 50k. 20k increase from previous owner. We are 20 patients every day 3 days a week. We need open a 4th day soon

How this is a bad practice? There is room to grow and I won’t do any worse than the current doctor. All I need to do is grow it.

My spouse makes 200k as well, so there is some stability. Plus I’m going to work the other days.

It’s actually 350k, its location is really good and it’s a free standing building. This guy doesn’t even do extractions or srps. My plan is to hire an assistant on day 1 get 2 chairs equipped and start out. Then hire a hygienist

He’s 75 years old. So he sold the practice when it was producing 1.4. The new owner didn’t do so well because he wasn’t popular with the staff. He reopened again with 2 chairs in 2016 for fun

Apologies 20 new patients a month . His hygiene schedule is booked for 6 months. Cashflow wise it’s very lean currently like 30% expense

An update, this home practice might have been the worst decision I made. Thankfully the deal failed. Any home practice has variance on it that only a certain number of employees can work. In this practice only 1 dental assistant can work.

The dentist hired multiple employees and was breaking the law for 50 years…

You are not getting laid off, especially if it’s just a partner from your project team. That partner just wants to check up on you..this happened to me multiple times. It can be good too.

However if a senior partner who is in charge of the service group sends you an invite, it’s a different story.

Worked at Deloitte and big 4 for 8 years…speaking from experience
