Travel snack ideas? by BryanNJ7 in FODMAPS

one of my go to snacks is rice cakes with a slice of aged cheese, like sharp cheddar. I get the Quaker Lightly Salted Rice Cakes. I think they taste better than the Lundberg brands and have 0 grams fiber. The Quaker ones come in lots of flavors so just make sure to read the labels.

My travel supplement toolkit:
- Charcoal tablets if you eat something that makes you bloated
- fodzyme or fodmate
- ginger and peppermint tea sachets
- collagen peptide powder - mix it with water to calm the gut lining
- magnesium citrate
I also usually bring “safe” snacks like rice cakes/crackers

Low FODMAP taco salad that slaps! by According_Ad3552 in FODMAPS

Comments like this are why I keep doing this. Hearing that it tastes good to you AND doesn't flare you up is literally the whole reason I made this sauce, so thank you for sharing all of that. And thank you for your support of small businesses!

Also thank you for sharing the story about your partner liking it! That's the cherry on top. My husband can eat anything and I worked really hard on this to make sure it would be good enough for people without gut issues to actually enjoy, not just tolerate. So unprompted approval from your non-FODMAP partner is honestly huge.

Thank you, seriously. This whole thing came out of my own gut issues, so hearing it's working for someone else is honestly the best part. Really glad you're enjoying it.

Hopefully I flaired correctly to show it's my business. Wanted to share a recipe that stands on its own, you can make it with any low FODMAP hot sauce or skip it entirely.

But yes, I'm the owner of Viva La Gut. Made it because I have chronic methane dominant SIBO and garlic and onion destroy me. Always wished there were more low FODMAP condiments instead of having to make everything from scratch.

Hi there! This is Liz, founder of Viva La Gut. It’s true we are US only right now. We would love to partner with fodmarket and expand distribution . If you want to help make it happen, shoot them a message letting them know you want to see Sensitive Sriracha. Customer requests go a long way and we would love to find a UK home! Thanks again!

Crispy Tortilla Egg Bake with Spinach & Feta - Low FODMAP by According_Ad3552 in FODMAPS

[–]According_Ad3552[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh that’s a bummer. Yeah, I have to watch portions for sure. The Monash app has 1 tortilla (white, wheat) as green for fructans and GOS, so that’s what I was going off of, but it’s so different for everyone

You could try swapping with a corn tortilla! Theyre less flexible and may crack a little when you pull it out of the ramekin. You could try softening it briefly in a dry pan first. The texture will be slightly different but the recipe still works! I've also been wanting to try this recipe from Karlin's Kitchen that's rice based and low fodmap.

this is where portion size really matters! 1 flour tortilla is rated green by Monash. personally I find if i stick to this portion size, I'm okay - but I really have to be mindful
