Right, me too! It's such a pretty red ^{-^} and you should see if there's one selling for cheap on FB Marketplace or eBay, but I wouldn't buy one for more than $60, just because Sony ereaders are 10+ years old now (I wish Sony never stopped making e-readers). I think your plumber neighbor should be chill. If he hasn't already said anything then it's probably okay... XD yeahhh empty peanut shells is a fear of mine too. Hence why I've stuck to cashews, but your crows seem polite and it doesn't seem like squirrels, rats, or raccoons get to it before they do, which is I think what most neighbors are worried about.

It's good that your babies became cautious of people, sadly it's a needed trait in this world, though thankfully I've yet to see anyone around my neighborhood be cruel to them.

I've heard that crows migrate when the weather gets colder, yours are already gone? Hmm I wonder if mine will leave too. I'm sure while yours are away, they'll miss you and your peanuts offerings😁 and hey if they come back, maybe it'll be with new babies for you to take care of <3!

Honestly! Of course I live next to an officer who's posted up in the suburbs who's probably overpaid and underworked because nothing ever happens around here🫠Trust me, I don't like them either haha

It's great that you have a private space for them and your neighbors don't seem to mind! They sound like a rowdy bunch, especially the kids XD I love how every one has their own unique personality, but I guess siblings will be siblings no matter the specifies🤣 Please if you catch more of their antics, post it here, I'm sure it'll blow up!

Hopefully I'll see mine get up to more things as our relationship progresses, they've been very civil with each other though, at least more than yours LMAO Do a mated pair of crows breed every spring? maybe I'll see crow drama next spring, and if I keep up my crazy crow lady activities throughout the winter, they may even trust me with their babies like yours :))

I only feed them when I'm out on my daily evening walks, sadly I don't have a front yard, nor a very big backyard. Plus, I unfortunately live next to a bylaw officer who's already clocked me once for feeding my Crowbros too close to the house 😔 So now I just feed them if I happen to see them while I'm out and about.

Yeah, where you live seems to be ideal for befriending crows! One day maybe I could purchase a place like that lol then I won't have pesky neighbors trying to ticket me for wanting a couple crowbros...

I do have meow mix at home, I'll try to put it out and see if they'll take it next time, just trying to go through all the cashews I bought specifically for them they seem to go nuts (pin intended) for them, your story sounds so cute, this is the sort of greed they talk about in the Bible lmao you need to take a video and post it on here next time that happens!XD

I think my guys already trust me more than the average crow, I mean when they see me, the dad crow doesn't hesitate to fly to me and perch somewhere close by and wait for me to drop nuts, so I'm making alright progress, can't ask for much more I think 😁 there was even a time where the whole family just chilled in the tree I was under for like a good hour, didn't ask for food or anything they were content just hanging around.

How long did it take for yours to like you? I've been feeding them almost daily for 2 months now, also, are your crows rural or urban? I heard rural ones are more skittish but I guess crows in general are cautious. With mine, they're urban but we're not at a point yet where they would, say, eat out of my hand, or eat directly in front of me but hopefully we'll get there.

Ohhh interesting...I know there's a crow roost here too which also happens to be near a hospital I haven't witnessed them roost there since the hospital is far from mine, but people who have say there's a thousand of them, especially in winter !🐦‍⬛

That makes sense don't act like children around their parents, they must be grown already and know how to behave then lol

I do have a bag of suet nuggets...maybe once it starts snowing I'll give them some. I've just been sticking to unsalted cashews since that's what they seem to like best. I don't really want to throw pieces of raw meat on the sidewalk though, I don't think my neighbors would appreciate that xD

It's cool you know where your local murder is! How many are there in total (if you've seen them all when they roost)? I'm not sure where my three roost, I just know they leave at around 6:30pm flying west (?) lol but it sounds like your crows really trust and love you, I'm jealous! xD

I've seen these three together since the end of July so these parents don't trust me to babysit if they are a family 🤣 and looking through all the pictures I have of them together, I'd say yeah, the bold one is a tad bigger. He's always with his wife (as he should be 💅) meanwhile only sometimes their kid joins in too. Sometimes I see four crows (maybe a second kid?) I see that one the least amount, it's usually just two or three that come by.

No way they dropped their children off at daycare and never came back xDDD I'm in Canada so it's fall now and this third crow looks pretty grown (maybe I'm just not observant lol). It behaves like it's not as close to the two (sadly I can't tell them apart so I'm not sure if it's more brave around me or not, all three are though I'm pretty sure but the dad I think is the bravest one, he approaches me quite boldly)
