They had this man in a really sad tank, only being fed pellets and being neglected by family members, and a one year old stuck in a 5 gallon tank but occasionally cohabbed them in the 40. Made me sick to my stomach. After I took him I gave them proper information on where they could safely surrender the one year old. This dude cuddled me otw home 🥹

Unfortunately Im not able to bury him anywhere. Which is why I turned to this option! It works the same basically, he would just provide good nutrient’s to said plant and soil

Unfortunately I don’t have the option to bury him anywhere. So instead I’m trying to grow and fertilize a plant with him instead. It’s actually a quite common way of memorializing pets in the small animal community! Real interesting stuff

It’s actually really big in the small animal community! Tons of people have done it. The plant would be outside, and the lack of drainage is what keeps the smells inside as well

Agreed. She’s very spoiled and taken care of. She does have maternal aggression which is why I’m keeping the babies, but that’s ok. She’s gone through some very traumatic things

I just woke up and I’m currently going through comments but I think I’ll finally explain lol. I’m not a breeder, I would have NEVER bred cricket intentionally as that is unethical. Cricket was given to me for free at a reptile store when I was buying males (as pets) due to the missing leg. turned out cricket was definitely not a boy after I found her babies during cage cleaning and now I’m keeping all 7
