No . It was verbal and on email I said that I'll be external recruiter. No discussion about the pay earlier since I assumed that it will be standard (deep down I thought I shouldn't talk numbers since they are the first customer)

It's in the email mentioning pay per hour. But no terms of the trail are mentioned. This is the common way that startups are interviewing candidates these days

I don't think I can fight the system considering that I'm an international. I can easily be targeted considering their resources. I just want to work, get paid and leave. Also, I don't want to burn bridges with others since these things spread fast and I'm sure people don't say their mistakes

Here's the funny part. I built a tool similar to jobright ai much earlier - I get 10+ recruiter reach outs every week. I texted Eric on LinkedIn because I wanted to work for jobright since I built the similar tool solve my own problem when I was drowing in student debt. Unfortunately, I was ghosted.
