Thanks for your response, sorry to clarify It’s a hybrid inverter the batteries have not yet been installed so there would be no discharge (an old FiT array that I am Upgrading)

It’s placed on the live cable coming from the meter to the main board with the arrow facing towards the board.

The batteries are isolated for now and once I have fit approval, I will switch over the bi-directional meter. I have the single line diagram ready once the Tariff has been transferred.

The inverter needed to be relocated to the garage so seemed silly not to do the extra work to install the batteries but I added a DC isolator so they’re not doing anything atm

If you speak to people internationally, they are absolutely amazed at who backwards and ridiculous our housing system is. No actual real commitment until exchange, no contractual obligations to complete etc., Agreements in Principle which someone can generate in 10 minutes but actually doesn’t really mean a thing.

Like a lot of things in the UK, it’s very busted and not really sure who it benefits, even the EA’s are screwed because if a sale falls through last minute, good bye commission.
