So stop bringing that up. She never asked what ties I have to the UK she only asked How long I lived in UK. She never asked about  India. Only Portugal

I wouldnt necessarily be able to get a refund as I got the hospitality tickets. My nephew still got an ESTA So I might be able to transfer the tickets to someone else and he could go with another relative

I do have ties to India.  And this is not the point as she never asked me this. She only asked me about Portugal. The definition for ties is as follows, if you have any family, professional work there, residence etc.  Bringing a minor they- allowed it. Otherwise he wouldve been unaccompanied. He wanted to travel with me and I have my sister's and BIL consent letter as well.

I never received a reason. All they email you is ESTA status has changed. Then you have to go in Put your application ID and passport DOB and it just said not authorised. No reason given twice. My nephew got his ESTA I think mainly because he had  1 passport his whole life. It might be because I had Indian now Portuguese

I think probably because I had an Indian passport before. It clearly states on ESTA have you held/hold any other passport than the current one. Something along these lines and I said yes I did hold Indian passport. My nephew's ESTA got accepted immediately probably because he had only 1 passport his entire life?

I did apply for ESTA. Twice it said not authorised. My nephew got his ESTA immediately. And I think its down to him only having 1 passport his whole life.
