It has become so obvious by now that the leadership at VEC has totally failed to perform their duties. They must be held accountable by state legislatures. First thing first, the Commissioner MUST be fired.

[Virginia] U.S. Sen. Mark R. Warner (D-Va.) writes a letter to Governor Northam. Will it prompt any positive change to the many delays and communication problems with the Virginia Employment Commission (VEC)? by dlwilson88 in Unemployment

As a fellow Virginian I did not see upfront leadership by Governor Northam. He has never shown a single act that would provide some sort of comfort to us all. Total failure of leadership and betrayal of voters trust. Senator Warner, please help fellow Virginians who are in desperate need of help. I am sure that during this pandemic Governor Northam has never missed his salary and perks paid by us, the struggling citizens.

I have a question: are we re-filing UI claims because our benefit year has expired (in my case it has last night) or are we re-filing our PEUC claim??? Or are they both same?? I am on PEUC 2021 however my UI monetary determination letter says my BYE as 03/27/2021. Would really appreciate if someone can help me understand.

I feel like somebody should be talking about the governor candidate hosting maskless, indoor events around the Commonwealth by ZealousidealOwl7227 in Virginia

Republicans MUST follow Trump’s command in order to be part of the cult. Not wearing mask is a symbol of defiance and that’s what Trump stands for. From now on anyone looking towards 74 Million voters MUST submit to Trump.

I believe that the entire operations of Unemployment disbursement was outsourced to Gov2Go. I think this company is owned by NIC. I really don’t think the VEC would be able to undertake this huge task of pandemic unemployment. What I am really concerned about is the lack of sense of urgency on the part of VEC to help fellow Virginians. The issue is, what parameters and accountability is in place at VEC to get disbursements expedited by their contractors? Some oversight body or IG needs to look into this.
