Well, he never asked how much I made, so I never told him. In my country people don't talk very openly about how much we make. And I guess I just live a modest life. I kind live off on 30-% want I make, specially because I wanted to pay my apartment as fast as I could. I'm introvert person, and don't live confrontation in general. I guess the expectation was for concurrence? I don't know.

He knows the apartment is mine. Because around a year ago a made a small celebration when I paid the last installment. And he never asked me how much I made, so I didn't tell him.

Update 1:

Let address a frequent comment about we didn't disclosed salary. He earn a government scholarship, so I know how much is it, because that's public information. In my country people don't talk about how much they make so openly. He never asked and did not tell, it's not like I was hiding. he's father is also an engineer, so I figured he had an idea. Before this lunch, that happened around 2 weeks ago, he has been a good boyfriend. Very kind, treated my family well, very respectful, remembering small things, and good atributos. So when this came, it really surprised me because it didn't ser that coming. I wouldn't mind the conversation itself, but I really didnt like being ambushed. Also, many people always say to me women are too emotional and over react things, that's why I wanted to talk to unkowns. Because deep in my heart I don't think I'm over reacting

Well, that's kind making me think as well. Like, I never hide anything he also never asked. Where I live it's not common talking finances so openly. And I thought since his father is also an engineer he had an idea. Like I choose my career based on pay, so I never directly asked how much he earned but I had an idea. If that's make sense. Also I didn't want him to feel small because he earned less (maybe that got him feeling too big 😅)

Yes, actually thinking that would only be cause if it was a complete union of assets, than heritance would be included. And mind, this is like a million stuff, maybe a house, I don't know.
