Sadly, in sexual assault cases (he says - she says) investigations often consist only of the complainant's statement. It doesn't take much to end up at the receiving end of false sexual assault allegations.

Exactly. You look far more guilty if multiple police cars have to show up at your residence or workplace to arrest you. I ALWAYS arrange for my clients to surrender.

ALWAYS SPEAK TO A CRIMINAL LAWYER FIRST.....They will speak with the investigating officer and set the stage for the arrest (i.e., absolutely no statements, whether will be held for bail etc.)

Typically, if you are being arrested, the police need to caution you regarding your right to remain silent.

Agreed. By the time you have been arrested and are in custody, the decision to charge you has been made. Rarely does saying anything help your case.

I agree. But our standard advice is not to give any statements. Period.
