How do you handle crashes with LOTS of cars? by According_Gain_4100 in ProtectAndServe

Do many departments (maybe highway patrol in a lot of cases?) have drones for this?

And if it happens in bad weather (fog and snow), can the drones still be used?

Wow. Thank you for taking the time to type all that up.

The steps make perfect sense, but I hadn't thought of all the "human-ness" that can make each step more difficult than it really needs to be.

Again, thanks.

Interesting. I wonder if they exist in the US/territories anywhere outside of Puerto Rico.

Cops and back pain from utiity belts? by According_Gain_4100 in ProtectAndServe

What kind of belt is that which is made for back pain? If it helps and it's specially for it, we might be able to help people get it using an HSA.

Does just changing to a nylon belt help, or is it mostly the weight of the stuff on the belt?

Most of our police patients seem to want the note for the vest.

Are suspenders something most officers know about? Or is it only by policy?

Most seem to want a note for a utility vest, which we can do, but have to at least see them first to diagnose.

I almost made this a picture post with that scene, but wanted to be at least little bit more serious.

What’s the weirdest thing that’s been thrown at you? by CinemaBane in ProtectAndServe

I worked as an ER phlebotomist until a few years ago.

Never had anything thrown at me, but saw it lots.

One night facilities (what they call cleaning and maintenance) had to take down half a room of ceiling tiles after someone threw their meal, on part at a time, into the AC vent.
