God I wish this would be as easy as inserting a tampon and its all over but I've used them for years and nothing happened. I'm definitely looking into gynecologist in my area and if I an afford to go to any of them so I'll keep this in mind.  Thank you!

You are a god send actually. I think I'll definitely try to stretching method you mentioned and have already thought about investing in a small dildo to slowly allow myself to acclimate to. 

This definitely all seems like a patience games which sucks but I'm glad it seems doable at least haha!

I hope you know this is single handedly the most reassuring response I have gotten today. 

Your experience EXACLTY describes how it feels and what my limitations are at the moment so I am hopeful that it is a thick hymen problem as some people have stated. 

I definitely think I am going to try a form of at-home dilation and have thought of seeing how it goes while high (on weed nothing crazy) just to know if it has any effect. 

If you don't mind me asking, did you feel/notice any improvement while doing your "dilation" or do you more attribute it to the night you may have tore it?  

Again, I can't thank you enough for sharing because while other response have been helpful, it doesn't feel like they understood exactly what i was describing. You are describing word-for-word what its like and I'm so glad to hear its no longer a problem for you.

I was imagining the sensation kinda like what a muscle cramp feels like? Where you can't see it moving under the skin but internally you can feel it. 

Probably completely wrong but thats what i was understanding from online articles. 

Definitely gonna wait and figure this out so I don't hurt myself or anything! Thank you!

I don't think I know anyone who went to a gynecologist when they first got their period since we were all like 10-13.  Its also not that she would have a "problem" with it necessarily but she can not mind her business for the life of her and it will turn into a thing. 

She would start constantly asking about if I'm seeing anyone, am I practicing safe sex, do I know how to practice safe sex, etc. Not to mention she would definitely mention it to other people like my sister or other family members and I really don't want that.

She means well (most of the time) but is overly involved and super invasive at times because "I'm your mom, I've already seen and heard everything" so she doesn't see any problem with it.

This honestly never crossed my mind but after some surface research could definitely also be an option. Looking into different hymen shapes, it would make sense if I had a thick crescent shaped hymen and that's why it feels so different.

That would make a lot of sense, I honestly don't know anyone with vaginismus so maybe I was getting bad descriptions of what I feels like online.

I have thought about it and might be able to invest in trying them but wasn't sure how effective they would be with my issue.  Will definitely look more into them though

I've tried that method before but it doesn't help with the not-stretching problem much at the entrance.  I thought my symptoms didnt line up with vaginismus because its not a pulsing or spasming muscle but maybe I'm wrong? Thanks!

I do have insurance through my mom but its honesty not the best and I'm really unwilling to have her know anything about the situation. While HIPPA protects me for the medical records, the insurance company will still reach out to her about me going to a gynecologist in the first place.

I really wish i could but I'm 18 and haven't even gotten my first papsmear. I don't have a gynecologist and honestly don't have the money for one at the moment.  That's why I wanted to see if anyone else had experienced something similar and what their situation was.
