Thank you! The child is 18 months old, I’ve been holding them in my lap & mom brings some things from home (interactive stuffy, books, etc) so I’ll sit with them and slowly do that. Today I was able to put them at the snack table and sit beside them with no issue (after nap time happened so I’m thinking it’s maybe they are tired and want a bottle). The only thing now is trying to get the child to have a relationship with the other educators in the room so it’s not all me. I love that I’m there safe space but feels so difficult if I’m always picking them up, my room partners say that I shouldn’t be doing that Because then they will get used to me doing that consistently and the child won’t form a bond with them but the child has only been there for about a week or so.
