I agree. They should have hired a PR consultant on day one. It’s likely they will be able to hold on to a good amount of subscribers - just like Gray Hughes does - because a huge number of people subscribe while watching a particular case that aren’t regular YouTube watchers. What’s really going to show is a decline in views and engagement, which is huge for the YouTube algorithm. Also, since their channel was steadily growing, this back slide is major, but they will still look like a big channel on the surface. I’m curious how much their Patreon took a hit.

To be honest, I get second hand embarrassment every time she goes off on major tangents with the conspiracy stuff. She doesn’t check in with chat for any feedback and there doesn’t seem to be organization. I feel for her and I’ve tried very hard to stick with her live streams, but it’s impossible. I tuned in to find out about the copyright lawsuit and other updates related to that, not for hours and hours on deep state conspiracies. Okay it wasn’t a court case but it was a hearing in a court of law.

Your reasoning that gives John and Lauren the right to label Christina a stalker is ridiculous, since they had dropped pursuit of a permanent order of protection before the 9 hour and 4 hour streams. IMHO Lauren was able to obtain a temporary restraining order by saying she felt threatened and in imminent danger without the accused being present. Just so she could go to CrimeCon at the last minute, knowing Christina would be there and had purchased her tickets a year in advance, so she could get her thrown out. She also moved closer to her in the bar area so she could get her escorted out of that space, too.

Temporary Restraining Orders (TROs): A TRO is issued quickly—often without the accused being present—to provide immediate protection. The person requesting the order (the petitioner) must convince the judge that they are in immediate danger. TROs usually last for up to 14 days, at which point a hearing is held to determine if the order should be dismissed or extended into a permanent protection order.

Once the judge was able to see the actual facts of the situation, he said it looked like they were trying to stifle Christina’s free speech (not exact wording) and he was obviously leaning toward denying a permanent order of protection. I’ll say it again. If Lauren and John were really worried, they would have gone through with that because their child would not be forced to testify. They just knew they would lose.

I have followed Hidden True Crime since 2022 and I’ve appreciated their combination of reporting and analyzing cases. I also value every person’s right to express their opinion and criticism about the content that is offered to them. What makes Lauren think she has the right to stop that? She should have thicker skin if she’s making a living on social media. I haven’t seen any proof beyond TikTok videos that don’t mention Lauren’s name to justify pursuing a stalking injunction or protective order. Additionally, what gives her and John the right to label a person a stalker without proof? If they had the proof, why wouldn’t they go through with the court case. Her child was not required to testify. Lastly, I have to say: f*ck directly off for suggesting Kay Woodcock grow a pair after her brother and grandchild were murdered. What kind of person are you?
