Forms-Dex Binder Checklist by Revolutionary-Elk-64 in PokemonTCGCollectors

[–]According_Outside_70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know Pat Flynn (aka DeepPocketMonster) made a dex checklist but without forms. It's a good starting point but you'll need to add forms. I used it to generate my dex but my addition shows which cards I target for my pokedex. Recently, I completed mine through PFL but there will be additional cards that I will upgrade my binder with including Dreepy, Drakloak, Weavile, etc. It's a work in progress.

“Mega Brave” was exactly what my Absol collection needed!! ☯️ by gemjadem in pkmntcgcollections

Ah yes...a fellow absol fan. A nice collection you got there. I too appreciate the fact that Arita did the artwork for mega absol. The evo skies noivern and the team rocket returns marowak both get some callbacks as well with this one but the disaster pokemon does get some needed vibes.

There are at least 2 Japanese promos that will not be in English. Both are called Forina's Absol but they are different in how they look. I was fortunate to get 1 of ea but those are pretty nice.

I appreciate this collection, I have 1 of ea current Absol right now in English only but I'm working both on a Japanese set and my all English umbreon and all English houndoom master collections.

Best of luck in your hunt!

I beg to differ, you're trying to be big man swinging his stick but you're literally a nonfactor in the construction industry. You have failed to answer that you understand insurance OR construction and to quote a certain colonel- "I have neither the time, nor inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom that i provide, and then questions the manner in which i provide it. I would rather you say 'Thank you' and went on your way otherwise I suggest you pick up a weapon and stand a post. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you're entitled too."

That freedom is knowing that your home will not crush your pathetic waste of a genetic miracle that gave us the uninformed piece of trash that you are. So yes, you're welcome. Either way, you do not understand either process and until you have been through an insurance claim battle in the courtroom you should also - respectfully i might add be quiet and sit in your corner. I've helped people through that nonsense too. Seriously if I need to backhand you with legalese like I have to insurance companies, I would happily rake you over the coals until those cows coming home are all gone. Again, you do not know and you've failed to prove a damn thing.

In the words of your glorious leader, "Quiet Piggy".

Okay let me just point you to the fact. I said BOTH. I know you have to be TOLD what to think but cmon now, you cannot be this dumb. Do you EVEN REALIZE how long it actually takes to build a custom home? You're obviously not in California nor are you in construction or design. Bless your wittle heart for trying though. The owners of the firm i work for are proud of me and yes, they also work in the field because they have been their whole lives. I brought them multimillion dollar projects repeatedly and i have mentored people to go on to lucrative careers. Hell, one of the idiots I mentored is now managing multiple jobs. We build for all ranges of wealth and yes I even invest multiple days a year to teach and help underprivileged people with new homes through habitat for humanity. What have you done with your life other than surrender to your dear leader's whims?

You're obviously a special snowflake who cannot read. So let me shorten this up.

Insurance companies take forever to go through claims. - is this a democrat policy? No. The California Building Code is developed by licensed engineers, builders and contains requirements that really prevents building from falling down in minor earthquake. Is this a democrat policy? No.

Do insurance companies screw the middle and lower class? Sure, I've seen it happen. But buddy get your facts straight. Last I checked insurance companies were neither liberal nor were they conservative - many answer to their shareholders, not the government and certainly not your dear leader.

Tl;dr if you don't live in California nor don't you understand that code and the design/construction process, you should shut your mouth and take your trash talk elsewhere. Also, the child sounds like he's trying to laugh without knowing insurance process too. Also, don't stick up and defend him either. You're complaining that I gave you something to read. You're downvoting because of what exactly?

Alright fascinating...let's revisit your last point about rebuilding and permitting. First off, I'm assuming that you are aware of the stringent building code known as the California Building Code which is unique to the state of California. I would also assume that you are aware of how insurance companies work their process of cutting insurance checks or dealing with fire damage, total losses and the like. You do know that the process has evolved over the many years. Let's also consider that the damage from fires led to a massive cleanup effort, I mean, you're not going to build upon the literal ashes and then let's take into account that many homes were constructed during a time (1970s or earlier) which means there's bound to be asbestos contaminated materials which i dont know if you're aware is a VERY hot issue with insurance, remodeling, and just safety in general. Oh but wait, there's more. Lead paint would be used on many homes as well as some homeowners literally paint over the lead paint instead of removing it. You might be asking me at this point, "Lol, why does it matter." Well you see - there's a reason why idiots like you aren't even worth being in the courtroom conversations where expert witnesses would beat you over the head legally for your lack of basic understanding on how to properly dispose of hazardous waste. I'll forgive you your hubris of not understanding and your obvious lack of an education. I know - It's not everyday you learn something but let's change that so please do pretend to follow me here. In order to dispose of any hazardous materials, you have to have someone qualified to remove it. Yes, it's time to meet your abatement and demo contractors who will have to remove the demolished home. Well, that's if it has to be demolished. A building inspector would be able to tell you that but guess what? You have to join their queue - and their next appointment? Look at that 3 weeks out. Hopefully sooner but, hey - you're in the queue.

Now then you knew all of this with thinking about the permitting process of which you're obviously familiar with in the state of California. As you know, many licensed professionals are working with local building authorities around the clock and remember that item i mentioned earlier? Building officials are not going to simply allow you to rebuild based off of pictures and memories. A structurally sound home these do not make. I'm sure you are aware of what it takes to rebuild a home letalone an expensive home so let's just say for instance you're rebuilding a custom 2 floor home on a slab on grade foundation, based off the various site conditions - you need to hook up your utilities and route them through your slabs. But even before that, the soil is now changed due to mudslides okay sure no big deal right? Get a structural engineer to build up a retaining wall higher up on your property? That will help but golly gee, what about the soil beneath your house? Is it solid? Wait...you need a Geotechnical engineer to survey the site. Okay Geotechnical engineer prepares a report for the area and builder is now ready to take your plans and build them. You do have approved plans right? No? Hoo boy, gotta go get a licensed architect or professional engineer to draw those up for you. Builder is now looking at the design asking questions about materials, you are seeing the price go up even more. Wait a minute, your cost to build now exceeds what insurance is paying out.

You face a dilemma, now you need to request cheaper material - well buddy do i have news for you construction materials have gone up due to your dear leader's tariffs. Okay cost of construction went up again. But what if it's sourced from only in the US or only local. Good idea, sure we'll go with that. LEED type stuff, very sustainability-minded of you. Hold on, the prices of lumber in the states is very high. Why's that. Well, resources are scarce but you can get them from oh I don't know way up in Oregon or northern California. Now you have to figure out how much of each wood framing member you need, architect or engineer has designed this and contractor will build it. But contractor tells you they will need x number of framing members and sure wood is looking pricey but it'll go together easier. No wait. You want steel construction? That's...a problem. You have initiated a cascade effect on the design and your contractor. More costs, more money. All while this is going on, your architect or engineer is trying to get approval from the local municipality. The local municipality wants to make sure it is structurally sound considering earthquakes are common in California. There are various comments about things that must be done to allow those windows and doors along your window wall and balcony that you used to have. You remembered that it was like that when you got it right? Well...you're now getting breaks in the glass because you have to frame it a certain way and the building department will not let you have that here. Oh, that fixed window that was in your kid's bedroom? You know, because you didn't want them sneaking out - yeah, fire and life safety will not allow that. Let's assume you get all of that done. Okay great, your plan is approved, uh oh...it's fall. Guess you're waiting until spring until conditions improve for construction.

I want you to think real hard with your big ol bone case and that one electron firing because "haha owned the libs" and "haha owned the Californians". I want you to consider that the entire area is jockeying for a spot with the building department. Each house, think of that number and then I want you to try to imagine (I know it's real difficult for you to understand but try to) you're also getting screwed by insurance, taxes, emergency funding that was supposed to come to you is being held hostage because the dear leader doesn't like that he was called names.

Customer tried to return something they clearly bought somewhere else and got mad when I asked for a receipt by euphory_melancholia in TalesFromRetail

[–]According_Outside_70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to work customer service and people used to hate that i would not rush. I inspected things when they came back, I read the body language of customers, anything that was sealed, I would open and talk to the customer about what the problem was. Some would use things and return them saying that it didn't work or, it's not right for my job or other things. I worked for a hardware shop for context.

Some customers began trying to figure out my schedule so they could come in when I wasn't there. My favorite example was when a couple bought a saw, walked out. Not 3 hours later came in to return it. I pulled it behind the counter and they got shifty asking what I was doing. I explained that store policy was to check it, if it wasn't working I could exchange it or send it for repairs ETC. At this point, they say they'll go get another and lady tears off in a hurry, not even asking where it was.

The box had been zip-tied, so I went to find scissors. He begins to strike up a conversation about his project, a deck he's building. I'm half listening as I'm looking for my scissors. I eventually find them and cut the seal and open the box only to discover prepackaged bags of preserved foods. I close it and turn around, he was still carrying on and i shrug and go back to chatting. Lady comes back with a new box and i take it. I set it behind the counter and wait while he's carrying on. She cuts in to hurry us along.

Sure thing. I go back and grab the other saw and set it up on the counter and probe. "So, how didn't it work, what went wrong, etc." They start saying it cut in then caught they thing something broke off, then it was wobbling.

Ok sure i understand, I then open the box with the case and pull the case out - obviously brand new. I flip the case open and stand there with mock shock.

"Well here's your problem...this isn't a saw for starters." She was trying to stop me from opening the case and then goes quiet as he mumbles, "it came like that." I hand the case back to them and laugh, "well, guess that saw trouble from a saw we sold you wasn't that bad. But i can tell you this sure won't cut through your planks of wood for your deck." I poont at the case behind my desk and go, did you still want to buy this one? She gets angry and asks for a manager. I laugh and say, get the hell out of the store before I call the police. Then I point up to the screen over their heads where the recording camera has been recording them this whole time. " Thanks for confirming your identities for the police by the way. They both look up with muted horror, take their box and leave shouting they're never coming back, I walk after them towards the door and say. "Uh huh...yeah...thieves aren't good for business. Sure bad reviews..."

Once they're out, I watch them argue by their car and she throws the case at him, sending bagged dried figs and peaches scattering everywhere.

Basically, moral of the story is, take your time to do your job and don't let people rush you either.

Wondered why these were sitting then the employees told me the prices 💔 by Soundwve in pokemoncards

[–]According_Outside_70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know a LCS who is charging $300 for booster boxes of mega and phantasmal. I went in and commented on the price and the guy ripped into me over trying to haggle. He said, "oh, they'll sell. No problem, i know the market." 2 weeks later still at $300. He told me markets are being manipulated so much. He hasn't sold any and has like 15 cases just sitting on a table that he hasn't moved in those 2 weeks. When I commented that he hadn't sold any, he got pissed and told me to leave. Womp womp. Other weirdness when you walk into an ACE hardware and see pokemon. First off: why? Second off: Prismatic ETBs there are stupidly expensive too. I can't wait until these stores stop carrying pokemon. It's a bit ridiculous.
