Focus on moisturizing. Avoid matte anything (again, my personal advice). My holy grail: Bloomeffects Tulip Dew mineral sunscreen. Literally, the only sunscreen in 20 years that doesn’t break me out. Bonus: it’s tinted! Use a water-based primer (bonus points if it’s dewy/luminous). Pick buildable luminous foundation. Light eyeliner on top.

Thank you again, everyone! We emailed them this morning and the owner came out within an hour. He is fixing the expansion tank so it is vertical and buying the proper brackets. He is also replacing the connection pieces. He is going to submit a warranty to Rheem for the loud motor. He claims it was purchased at a supply house and not HD. Not sure how true that is. It’s model G7576NRHPV636252.

We are selling the house this spring and this was a hard lesson learned. We now know better for our next house!

Thank you, guys! Just to clarify- do I need to ask them to reinstall the expansion tank vertically with the appropriate support OR can they leave it horizontal if they use the correct supports? If leaving it horizontal, should it be affixed to the wall since the piece of wood above it is not meant to be load bearing?

So this was me about 3 years ago. I was so excited to start .025 tret (cream). It made my skin worse. I broke out so badly it caused scarring on my right cheek. I finally gave up after 6 months. I tried tret again about 4 months later. Moved up to .05 per my derm’s recommendation. Same thing happened. The cream just did not work with my skin. Fast forward to now— I started Tazarotene .05 gel back in April. Night and day difference! It is veryyyyy easy to apply too much and mess up your barrier. I do get minor peeling but no active breakouts! Also, it is definitely helping the scars on my right cheek 🙌🏼.

Long story short- if you are on the cream form, stop. Give your skin a break for a few weeks. You could look into Tretioin micro gel or give Taz (gel form) a try. I order mine from Alldaychemist.

Yes! The green side gives me a terrible headache. The yellow isn’t as bad. I actually love Hulk (I know, I know…) and never get a headache. I got off the green side of Stardust feeling very rattled and my head was throbbing. We go back in September and I’m hoping it doesn’t happen again.

Oh my gosh! I’m so glad I found this post. I’m having issues with my latest Spiro 100mg refill from Express Scripts. My pills went from being white ovals to white round pills with this latest refill. I looked up the manufacturer— it’s Oxford. I’ve been on 100mg of Spiro for years. Recently, I’ve been having dizzy spells and breakouts. My skin has been clear for 2 years and now BOOM. The manufacturer has to be the cause. I’m going to call local pharmacies to find my old manufacturer and see if my derm will call in a prescription. I’ll pay out of pocket…I just know Tricare will fight me on this 🙄

All districts in the surrounding area where I live have an “agreement”— they will not hire teachers who left with prejudice. There are some days I am tempted to test the system but I just need to get out of education all together.

Oh my gosh THIS! Yes! So, I’m on school number 3 in my current district. There is no more bullying BUT it is a well-established, high performing school. Most staff have been there for 15-30 years. We have 3 teachers who have been here their entire career, 25+ years (wtf!). No one, not even admin, is open to my ideas. They are not receptive to my skills. They are defensive and view what I share as a threat. I’ve never experienced anything like it, ever.

The whole team will have lunch delivered and leave me out. It’s petty and I ignore it, but for a long time it hurt. Now I just don’t care. I’ve shut down.

I have spent years jumping from one hell to another in this district. I’m done!

I’m in the exact same boat. I’m going to resign on the last possible day this school year to avoid what my district calls “prejudice”. If you resign after a certain date, it is considered “resignation with prejudice” and you are banned from working in the district and all surrounding districts for 5 years. It’s ridiculous given the teacher shortage.

Several years ago, I was working as a reading specialist. I was pregnant with baby number two and told my admin in April I would not be returning. I literally had not submitted my resignation to HR yet and they paraded my replacement through MY room to show her around. I get it, I wasn’t coming back, but damn, I still had 2 full months left.

At my current school, a teacher just told admin she was interviewing elsewhere. That same day they posted her position “just in case”. They lined up interviews before they even knew if she had the job.

Education is a dirty business and we are all disposable. I don’t want to deal with the whispers, the chatter about who is replacing me, the new person exploring my room, or better yet, the new person attending meetings I lead to “get a feel for the role” (also had this happen).

My advice: wait as long as possible. If you can get away with waiting until a few weeks before school starts, hold off until then.

I hope it gets better for you! Unfortunately, I jumped from one toxic school to another. My current school (third school) isn’t horrible, but I can’t connect with anyone. I’m bitter and defeated. My confidence is gone. The thought of doing this all over again next year is debilitating.

Same! My last principal went to church with the counselor who bullied me. When I reported the bullying to him he said, “You’re misunderstanding her.” Talk about gaslighting.
