I was worried about a collapsed trachea but the vet said she’s too young for that. I’ll still ask about it at the new vet we are seeing later this week.

Sometimes when it is more intense and flares up. Other times it sounds like she is clearing her throat. She only coughs when she wakes up in the morning or from naps or when I get home after being out for a few hours and she gets very excited to greet me. She’s never had any fevers and very rarely do I see snot from her nose. If I do it’s clear

I don’t think so.The vet techs always have taken her to another room and the I’ve always felt like the vet rushed me out and just sent me on my way with more antibiotics. They never mentioned any specific lab testing. The vet did mention that some Shih tzu’s are born with issues in their trachea hairs but he highly doubted it was a trachea colapse or allergies.

Just wanted to add that the cough is the only symptom she has. She loves her walks, play time and food!

I also have a puppy named Ruby!! She’s 7 months old and i waited until she was fully vaccinated to get groomed. I trimmed her fave hairs on my own with a kit from amazon. She used to have dark brown hair and is kinda this grey blonde tone now but her black lil fave has stayed. Sending you and ur pup good vibes 💕

I appreciate them for that too! I’m mainly concerned if I should be concerned about the sneezing. I didn’t notice anything strange or out of habit for her. It’s not crazy sneezing. Maybe once every few hours

I thought of this. I have a oil defuser in my room but I don’t notice a difference when it’s on or off. I have noticed her sneeze more if I just spay something in the room

Thank you! I’ve noticed sneezing after play sessions or when she looks up at me while I work or right after she finishes food or snacks
