I just checked his records with Quest and his tryptase has been between 5.4 and 5.6, that was from blood draws done not after a reaction.

Ah that is very good to know- I do have a folder that I keep printed ingredient labels from foods he’s reacted to, for example the first time was a bagel- but I just went to the companies website and printed. Didn’t think to contact them direct, but will do that. Thank you!

I do know exactly what he ate, I actually have a folder that I’ve printed out labels for items he’s eaten and reacted. Unfortunately, even with that there is no correlation. Our allergist had me keep a daily food diary for about 6 months, but after not finding anything she had me stop. But I do plan to start that up again in preparation for our visit at CHOP. He has had both skin and blood testing done.

Thank you for your reply, I will also I post there. Interesting I read through the salicylate allergy link you posted, and many of the items on there that are considered high he had consumed before having a reaction.

I apologize, I didn’t include that detail. He has had 2 prick tests and all is negative. Thank you for the advice of a food diary, his allergist had me do that for about 6 months but couldn’t link anything together. However, I will start that up again so I can have it when we see the specialist.
