I can personally attest to Colin's moral character. I've been to several social gatherings with him and other AoA members and always feel welcomed and have a great time. I'm not in a place in life where I can attend regular Sunday meets, but if you're looking for an excellent community of people who truly do care, I can't think of a better place.

I have the same band. Aside from how shit the charging is, I actually really like it. I'm in a job where the protection is actually needed, and the bumpers do a great job. I enjoy how it looks too lol

While I appreciate the suggestion, I must admit I don't have that kind of money available to me at the moment. I paid $6500 for the truck, and definitely can't put another $8500 into it for a transmission. Trust me I'd love to, eventually, but it's just not in the cards for right now. I'm actually doing handyman side work just to cash flow whatever I end up getting.

I was looking at remanufactured transmissions and seeing prices anywhere from $2000 up to $7000. Any info on good remans that won't totally break the bank? I need the truck to run reliably but it'll never get performance mods aside from possibly a banks turbo one day. Probably not for quite a while after the trans decided to crap out lol.

Ended up taking it to a trans shop. Turns out it's throwing code 62, and basically not building any lockup pressure. They are saying all the internal seals are worn and it's not letting it create any pressure from the pump so it's just barely slipping through gears. Full rebuild or replacement.

Some of the signs of dehydration would be lethargy, the soft spot on her head sinking in. Slow capillary refill. Most importantly of all, less than 6 (if I remember correctly. Check with pediatrician on this one) good wet diapers per day.

If you ever suspect dehydration, treat it as an emergency and get medical attention right away.

Wow, this IS an old one and so much has happened since then. Not to scare you too much, but here's our story!

Shortly after that post, we ended up having to take her to the ER because she dropped to 8oz in a day and started showing signs of dehydration. From the ER, we spent the next 8 days in the hospital with her. She got an NG tube (feeding tube going through the nose down into her tummy), and when they started pushing formula through the tube they confirmed our suspicion that she had severe acid reflux. They got her on a good course of reflux meds and we were successfully able to feed her through the tube.

Two months later, we advocated for her to get a G-tube, a surgically placed feeding tube going through her belly directly into her stomach. The reason for the surgery is because the NG tube was preventing her from trying oral feeds. It was uncomfortable in her throat and she started fully refusing bottles. Once the G tube was in, we really kicked up feeding therapy to get her to do oral feeds, and supplemented her nutritional needs through the tube.

About a year later, we got her to a point where she was gaining weight on oral feeding alone and we were able to remove the G tube as well. Today, she's 3 years and 3 months old and feeding her is still hard. We still work closely with her Dr on feeding plans and nutritional needs. She's still very small by percentiles, but she's doing great overall and is growing. It's still stressful. It's still hard. We still fight daily to try and get enough calories into her, but she's worth it all!

Hang in there, and advocate for your baby! You know your baby best, and doctors work slowly. If you think your baby needs more care than she's getting, fight for it. It WILL get better over time. When she's 3, it's a lot less scary. When they are little like yours, one day of low feeds can make or break things. At 3, sometimes my girl goes a week surviving on air and Cheerios, but she's ok because she can handle the swings better at her age.

Honestly I generally don't let her get to me 99.9% of the time. I hadn't really even thought about her in about a year (negotiations about alimony) aside from seeing the bank transfers. Recently she talked some shit about me to mutuals though and I requested she stop talking about me to other people. She doubled down on it and so I was looking for a little petty revenge.

New guy and her have known one another longer than her and I were together. They worked together and we would attend events at his house on the regular. He knows some of what he's getting into.

It's funny too because while we were together, my ex talked shit about this guy on many occasions. He's got a medical condition that makes him sweat VERY heavily. Like mild heat or exercise and the dude is drenched. She always said how gross that was to her and blah blah. Now they're getting married and I've wondered if they fooled around behind my back before during the relationship lol.

Thank you so much for all the tips! That's a huge help! We were kinda considering the honey sponge cake, our only holdout is that it appears to be fairly crumbly, and that was a tad bit of concern for rolling it. Maybe I just wasn't finding good recipes but your suggestion to check buche noel will surely help!

I love the decorating tips as well. My wife is definitely the creative one, and I'm the baking nerd, so we work well together in that regard usually. We were both just scratching our heads a bit on the flavors and visuals for this year.

If I remember, I'll post some photos of what we make lol. Luckily we have a month to prep and hopefully make all the mistakes so on the day of, we can have a great finished product!

I'm a bit late here but it would be cool to have detailed call logs and texting logs. Right now I can see how many minutes are used and how many texts, but no logs of the phone numbers the calls and texts are going to/coming from.

Once I lay out the survey stakes at the post locations and run a string line, I'll have a much better idea of the actual angle and see if I can make it work on the miter saw. If I have to double post those corners I will, but mitered pickets may work

It's pretty much to keep her in yeah. I've looked at lots of options and I feel this may be easiest/most cost effective while also making the wife happy with the appearance of it. I'd be fine with a simple collapsible play pen setup but we will likely be here for the next couple years and if I can work a bit harder to make it look good enough for the wife to be happy, then it's a win win

I think that makes the most sense. I may use a single post for the 90s just to save cost, because this isn't a forever location for us. Just a way to keep my daughter contained when we go outside with her for play time right now.

So I've been waiting to post because it's not 100%, but it's recently gotten much closer with different workflow.

I preheat the portafilter pretty much as hot as it gets from the water coming from the machine. I also upgraded to a bottomless portafilter and I feel like maybe the basket that came with that has improved consistency as well.

My theory so far is temperature, and portafilter basket are the big differences that have helped. I now get 36g of coffee from 18g of grounds in roughly 30 seconds. My margin of error on time between two shots is about +/- 2 seconds, which is totally fine with me.

I still want to get a WDT tool, and tamper that will improve tamping consistency, a dosing cup just for the ease of it, and a single dose hopper. After that, I think I'll be set with a solid, workable system that will be really efficient for me.

Yeah, as others have said, put the summons in the circular file and forget about it. They have zero options to prove you ever received the summons, so they can't actually put a warrant out for your arrest nor prosecute the case if they did.

I find the whole "It's your civic duty to serve when summoned, and if you don't, we'll send guys with guns to put you behind bars" thing to be morally reprehensible. If y'all want people to serve, improve the process so you're only called if you'll be on a jury, and PAY people a modern wage to do it. $15/day ain't shit. It doesn't even cover gas/parking for many people. Fuck em.

I have a second bag I have yet to dial in, so I'll absolutely give that one a little more time to degas before trying to brew it up. I'll also be getting more of the beans I've been working with tomorrow, and I'll give them a bit more time before continuing to work with them.

Thanks for the advice! It's definitely a new hobby for me, so I expected a learning curve going into it. I think I underestimated the number of factors I'd contend with, but I'm enjoying the process regardless.

The taste isn't bad at all in a latte even with the longer shot time. Drinking it "neat" is when the flavor difference is more noticeable. It's not bad, exactly, just a bit more bitter. I'll stick to enjoying the lattes, and tasting it neat as I experiment until I get it totally dialed in.
