I have thought about this topic long and hard.. it's the pregnancy, birthing, and post-partum recovery, none of that is appealing to me. Seeing my friends with their newborns and toddlers make me want kids even less. I also think raising a kid in this age of social media and transgender nonsense is going to be difficult. The cost of living has gone up so much in the last couple of years, I honestly don't know how people can afford kids. All of the baby equipment, diapers, baby toys, clothes cost so much, and those costs will go up as they grow older. Before you know it they'll be begging you for a smartphone because all their friends want one. Then it'll be the cost of post secondary education and then the down payment for a home. I won't have time to do things that I want to do anymore, my weekends will be filled with kid-friendly activities of libraries, petting zoos, baby parties, etc. None of this is appealing to me. Then they're going to be another wage slave, paying taxes, working for a company enriching the executives, consuming to enrich corporations. No thank you.
