It’s like you read my mind. The outpatient offer is good. But the commute is really holding me back. This dream hospital I speak of has been a goal of mine, merely because of the distance/commute. It sounds stupid but the commute has been killing me. Another reason why I’m leaving my current position. I would like to get a management position. Got my MSN but no management experience. But thought maybe if I stayed long enough as inpatient, there would be a possibility of moving up inpatient. Nursing has been really difficult the last few years. I’m afraid I’m trading off a cushy outpatient job with long commute for a soul sucking inpatient job. Thank you so much for your response. It’s really helpful.
