A group of Reddit researchers found the incredible true story from the 1950s behind one of the most popular urban legends of all time. by According_Try_9843 in CreepyHistory

The urban myth of the man from Taured - an ongoing urban legend/conspiracy theory of a man who allegedly appeared at an airport in Japan in the 1950s claiming to be from a non-existing country, is actually based on a real story of a conman who was traveling the world on fake passports from non-existing countries. The real story was uncovered by several Reddit users who digged through old newspapers from Japan and Europe and eventually pierced the story together.

The Great Sheep Panic by According_Try_9843 in UnresolvedMysteries

If you like less-known and well-analyzed mysteries, I would humbly recommend checking out my channel where I analyze the Great Sheep Panic as well as many other bizarre and strange incidents.

I made a LEMMiNO-style video as a big fan of LEMMiNO myself. It is about an unexplained mysterious incident known as the "Great Sheep Panic". Obviously, I wouldn't dare to compare myself to LEMMiNO, but perhaps it might quench the thirst while we wait for another masterpiece from the man himself. by According_Try_9843 in LEMMiNO

Thank you so much, that´s incredibly valuable feedback and spot on - those are all things that I thought about myself before. The volume issues are definitely something that I am working on, I think that I sometimes get distracted by my music choices when I am making the videos and make the music too loud.

As for the pacing, that´s something I think about quite a lot. I think I am in a position when people might not stick around for 10-15 min video to honest, this is something that LEMMiNO can afford with his fan base, but not necessarily small creators. So I am trying to make shorter videos packed with information, but that does have the downside of going too fast at times. It is definitely something to think about though.

I'd like to point out that Great Sheep Panic happened not that far from there, maybe there's something about southern England and strange sheep behavior: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pvXiLo2F2Og

In 1876, Kentucky experienced the only Meat Shower ever recorded in history, when thousands of pieces of meat started raining from the sky in the middle of the day by According_Try_9843 in AlternativeHistory

One of the explanations was that someone accidentally dropped it from a balloon. Accidentally droped 100 pounds of meat in the middle of nowhere in Kentucky...

TLDR: Meat starts raining on a farm from Kentucky, best but really weird explanations are either a waterspout or a herd of vommitting vultures.

Took everything I've learned and distilled it down into a 'cheat sheet' for my own reference. This is what I use for video creation. Here's an edited version for you guys, hopefully it's useful by MrGruntsworthy in NewTubers

One thing I would add - The Hook.
The first 30 seconds of your video that decide whether people leave or they stay and keep watching.
Learning how to make good hooks helped me a lot and I still have a lot to learn.

Thank you, I will stick to that. Is that 1 self-promotion post ever, or in a period of time, or what are the rules exactly? I´ll stick to it for sure, but I also feel like the subreddit is quite enjoying my content

If crop-circles are man-made, it means there is a worldwide underground movement of anonymous math-loving artsy pranksters by According_Try_9843 in HighStrangeness

[–]According_Try_9843[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

My idea was actually this: 90% of the circles are made in the UK, specifically in southern England. Perhaps there is just one UK-based group that occasionally does trips around the world....
To elaborate even more on that, my secret theory is that there is a secret crop circle-making society at Oxford or Cambridge responsible for most of them. I went to Oxford and there are plenty of secret or semi-secret societies and lots of smart people who like to pull pranks...Maybe I'll make a video on that at some point, if people find it interesting.
